    HADES - Mission Definition Review Completed 🎖️ Dark has concluded the Mission Definition Review (MDR) for HADES, advancing us closer to the next-generation space defense technologies. As a privately funded initiative, HADES is designed to validate systems that enable precise detection, rapid maneuvering, and autonomous operations—key capabilities for addressing emerging threats in Low Earth Orbit. The module integrates cutting-edge capabilities, including: ◾ RISE: Our in-house operating system driving autonomous flight and verticalized space operations. ◾ Tactical Propulsion: Featuring primary engines and +18 bi-mode chemical thrusters, delivering unmatched 6DOF control for precision and agility in orbital engagements. ◾ Space Radar: Advanced sensor fusion enabling unparalleled object detection and tracking. ◾ Autonomous Flight Software: Including a default reentry mode into the “space cemetery,” ensuring seamless mission closure and readiness for unplanned operations. While HADES is self-contained, it serves as a testbed for Interceptor, our flagship defense platform. The results confirm our system design for unplanned & short space defense missions. By qualifying non-space-grade components to enable the use of the robust MIL-STD-1553 protocol, we unlock a smarter path forward—achieving reliability without relying on high-cost, space-grade hardware. Key highlights: ◾ Costs Savings: Our approach will save up to half a million dollars per Interceptor mission. ◾ Resilience: Space-induced failure events were thoroughly identified and quantified on the MIL-STD-1553 terminals during the test campaign, paving the way for our mitigation and recovery strategies that enable highly-reliable space operations. Thanks to our partners TRAD, Tests & Radiations and UCLouvain - Université catholique de Louvain! This achievement showcases the ingenuity of our team in building our technological arsenal.     I’m looking for someone to take on the many exciting and varied test campaigns for our orbital module, Hadès. These include ground static hot firing (in both atmospheric and vacuum conditions), thermal testing, radar testing in anechoic chambers, functional testing, and much more. You'll have the opportunity to engage in every aspect of testing: requirements identification, test site selection, organization, hardware selection, and operations during testing.     🇫🇷 Exciting news!! 🇫🇷 Dark has been selected by l’Agence de l'innovation de défense to study the interception of dangerous orbital objects. 🛰️ The goal is to simulate the interception of dangerous space objects. Salazar replicates all stages of the operation of Interceptor, the company’s first emergency system developed to capture hazardous objects in orbit. 🚀 Developed internally, the Salazar simulation coordinates various digital models that retrace the operational sequence of Interceptor, from the ground preparation phase to interception, capture, and return of the object from orbit. 🌍 Salazar not only provides future users with a vision of potential outcomes but also allows the adaptation of future technologies based on this feedback. Based on the orbital parameters of a target, Dark proposes an optimized interception scenario, integrating mission strategy, performance, and timing.
