It asks for relevant parameters such as the assets’ properties and type of preservation system used, which allow to draw reliable conclusions. Also, a geo distribution is expected. Furthermore, factors such as reliability or effort for maintenance resulting in total cost of ownership will be derived. The link to the survey: https://lnkd.in/gsFfh-7N   This survey is being conducted by the CIGRE Joint Working Group A2/D2.65, “Transformer Digital Twin – concept and future perspectives”, to gather insights that will help us understand the current state of digital twin development in the industry and to identify the potential applications and benefits that this technology can bring to transformer operations.   The information you provide will be used to shape the recommendations and findings of our Working Group, ensuring they reflect the needs and perspectives of the transformer community. Please rest assured that all responses will be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and individual responses will not be shared outside the Working Group.   For the purpose of this survey, the following definition is provided: A digital twin of a transformer is a dynamic, virtual representation of the physical transformer that continuously reflects its real-time operational state through data integration from sensors and historical records. This virtual model not only mirrors the transformer's current condition but also leverages advanced analytics, such as physics-based simulations, machine learning, and hybrid modelling approaches, to predict future performance, assess potential failures, and optimise maintenance strategies. It was fantastic reconnecting with our Study Committee members, both new and old, as well as our invited guests, to discuss key industry topics. From transformer standards and supply chain challenges to digital twins, real-time monitoring and innovation, the conversations were both insightful and encouraging. The passion and expertise driving our industry forward were evident, and it’s clear that collaboration is more important than ever. We are excited to see where we can take the discussions we started at the workshop. 💡 Whether it’s continuing discussions around the new CIGRE Working Groups, webinars or how to recruit new members to shape the future. This was our second time running the workshop during the Study Committee meeting and don’t think it will be the last! Thanks to the AG leaders for facilitating.
