Interruptions during meetings can be a source of disruption which needs to be handled carefully more so when the person is a peer. A private discussion would certainly be helpful however before initiating any such conversation, evaluate other options which can be utilized. One of the methods can be to leverage your connect with a colleague who would actually be able to get the message in a more effective way because of the rapport that they have. Another method would be to have a targeted conversation by yourself wherein the points would be highlighted along with the issues it causes and provide potential solutions so that an agreeable conclusion can be reached.

"Crucial Conversations" always help. However we must prepare other member what's coming their way. Sometimes they are open to such heated discussions but mostly they will be biased and self-defending. Another way to apply the "art of story telling" where you create such a character and share some cons of interruptions during meetings. This will give an idea to the other member and help resolve the matter. Another way is a direct and discrete approach, tell them how you feel and how it effects your work relation if not already at the verge of breaking silence. All the above methods are tested in the real world scenarios and they are all very effective in situations befitting them. If all fails, sending an email and express your concerns.

Yo lo gestionaría así: Elegir el momento adecuado: Hablaría con la persona en privado, no durante la reunión. Ser específico y equilibrado: Mencionaría ejemplos positivos y negativos: Tus contribuciones son valiosas cuando dejas que otros terminen, pero al interrumpir se pierde el hilo. Hablar desde mi perspectiva: Cuando interrumpes, siento que el equipo pierde el flujo. Ofrecer alternativas: Sugeriría anotar ideas para compartir después. Cierre positivo: Tus ideas son valiosas, y con pequeños ajustes, podemos mejorar la dinámica del equipo.

Are these people just individuals who like to speak, discuss, make them important or more visible to the group without real contribution? Based on my experience, it is the best practice to involve them in a specific tasks. First, listen to them carefully, ask for their opinion and solution showing them you take them seriously. Then suggest that they elaborate it further and present at the next meeting. Usually, such people, when they realize that their questions and comments cause them additional work and burden, will think twice before expressing themselves or asking unnecessary questions in the future. This way, you stay out without saying them anything. They will think twice, next time they ask/comment.
