Honored to be named among TechCrunch's most disruptive companies of 2024. At Waabi, we're pioneering generative AI to reimagine autonomous trucking and transform the way we interact with the physical world. Core to our approach is enabling more efficient innovation and technology that amplifies human potential. https://lnkd.in/eJkq2YSi
This week, our incredible Waabi team traveled from Toronto, SF, Pittsburgh, and beyond—engineers, researchers, and innovators from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. United by our vision of transforming mobility, we came together at our Lancaster, Texas terminal. Over two days of deep collaboration, our differences became our strength, bringing together our unique insights on autonomous driving, AI, and transportation. Our core values of curiosity, resilience, and diversity shone through, proving that true innovation happens when we work together. Focused and inspired as we step into 2025.
Foundation models in autonomous vehicles require radical generalization - moving beyond location-specific training to create adaptable AI that can scale across diverse geographic environments and navigate complex, unpredictable scenarios. Take a look back at NVIDIA GTC where Raquel Urtasun unpacks what’s powering our autonomous commercial trucks operating on public roads.
As part of the University of Toronto’s world-class innovation ecosystem, Waabi is proud to lead the way in applying generative AI to build self-driving technology that will transform transportation. We're honored to be featured by The Globe and Mail alongside Xanadu, Hypercare, and AmacaThera, as companies addressing the world's most urgent challenges with bold, innovative solutions. https://lnkd.in/gPKMbTYP

Thank you FreightWaves and Thomas Wasson for hosting Waabi at F3 in Chattanooga. It was great talking with you about the progress autonomous trucks have achieved.
“We have built a solution to the data problem, a simulator that mimics reality, enabling us to be even faster in development and able to handle all the safety critical situations that are otherwise impossible to capture in the real world.” In TechCrunch's latest Found podcast, Raquel Urtasun details how Waabi is advancing long-haul trucking through simulation-based training and testing. Listen as hosts Dominic-Madori Davis and Rebecca Szkutak as they explore why this revolutionary approach accelerates the path to Level 4 autonomy: https://lnkd.in/enjEvGfn

Honored to represent Waabi and participate in Women In Trucking Association Accelerate conference. Great panel including Amisha Vadalia of Plus, Rachel Wagner (Kremm) of Kodiak, Olivia Hu of Uber Freight, Sasko Cuklev of Volvo Trucks and our moderator Tara Andringa of Partners for Automated Vehicle Education (PAVE) Talking about autonomous trucks. #WIT2024 #womenintrucking
What’s next for AV 2.0? Last week, our Head of Software Daryn Nakhuda joined Clara de Ros of Plug and Play Tech Center and Hussein Mehanna for a panel about how generative AI can propel the next phase of autonomous driving at Hyundai Motor Company (현대자동차)'s 9th Mobility Innovators Forum in San Francisco. These conversations about safety standards, regulatory hurdles, and technological advancements play an important role in shaping the future of driverless transportation. We look forward to contributing to many more discussions like this. Special thanks to the entire Hyundai team and everyone else involved for another great Mobility Innovators Forum!
