The Atlantic Indigenous Procurement Connector was created with the intention to bring together Indigenous entrepreneurs, Indigenous economic development organizations, industry, and government resources. The two-day event is happening between February 4 to 5, 2024 and will focus on establishing and strengthening connections among these groups to build Indigenous entrepreneurial capacity in Atlantic Canada by: Inspiring Indigenous entrepreneurs and businesses to contract with the Government of Canada through storytelling of successes of those who have utilized procurement opportunities to start or grow a business Empowering Indigenous entrepreneurs by delivering key information about the procurement landscape and how to navigate it Providing a platform that supports linking existing entrepreneurial capacity to private-sector suppliers and the Government of Canada who are seeking Indigenous participation Collecting feedback and engaging the entrepreneurs in discussion surrounding the barriers that are preventing them from participating Delivering information and tools that build capacity for Indigenous entrepreneurs, businesses, and communities Who should register: · Atlantic-based Indigenous entrepreneurs · Indigenous Economic Development Organizations · Private sector suppliers · Atlantic-based Economic Development Officers (EDOs) · Representation from relevant government departments and agencies There is no registration fee for the Atlantic Indigenous entrepreneurs, economic development organizations, and Economic Development Officers There is a fee of $250.00 plus tax for other attendees. For Atlantic Indigenous entrepreneurs, economic development organizations, or economic development officers, there may be reimbursement of travel and accommodation costs. The accommodations will be booked with The Delta Moncton and guest rooms for up to three (3) nights per may be covered for those who fit the eligibility criteria. Any additional room charges, as well as incidental charges, must be paid directly by the delegates. Additional details to be provided upon registration.
