  • It's here—our last event of the year, and we're closing strong. The Year End Summit will kick off with Ambereen Jahangir and Jahangir Alam of DV8 Communication, a leading multicultural marketing agency with nearly 25 years of experience, answering the question: 'What do Canada’s changing demographics mean for the marketing industry?' As Canada has emerged as the top destination for global migration in 2024, this session dives into the impact of massive population growth on marketing strategies and multicultural outreach. Next, we're giving you, the audience, the reins with a townhall-style Q&A panel with some of Canada’s foremost marketing practitioners. This is your chance to ask Daniel Francavilla of Daniel Does Consulting, Milka Lukovich (Ignjatovic) of Sanofi, and Michael Wannop of The Conduit about industry challenges, and gain clarity about what lies ahead in 2025. The townhall will be moderated by Kareem Perez, professor of marketing at Concordia University and executive director at The Tech Effect. Last but not least, we'll have our networking night afterwards with complimentary drinks. Make sure to get your ticket using the link below to join us on Monday Nov. 25 to wrap up the year with meaningful conversations and new connections. Can’t wait to see you there!

  • The Toronto Marketing Hub’s Year-End Marketing Summit will begin with an unmissable presentation on multicultural marketing. Lately, we’ve noticed a growing buzz around this topic—clear evidence of its rising importance in the industry zeitgeist. But why now? Canada has welcomed record-breaking immigration in recent years, solidifying its status as a top destination for international migration. Yet many marketers remain unprepared for this shift. What does effective multicultural marketing really entail? Is it limited to campaigns for Diwali, Eid, or Lunar New Year? Localizing emails into other languages? Obviously, effective multicultural marketing goes far beyond surface-level efforts. It requires genuine cultural sensitivity, contextual understanding, and strategies that resonate authentically with different communities. This Monday, gain actionable insights from Jahangir Alam and Ambereen Jahangir of DV8 Communication, who bring 25 years of expertise to unpack the nuances of this critical subject. Doors open at 6:30PM for the event, with this presentation starting at 6:50PM.

But that’s where you’ll find Happy Wolf Snacks if you’re at Summerhill Market or 300+ Whole Foods across North America, among others—not bad for a brand that only launched in September of 2023! Co-founder Jana Goodbaum comes from a marketing background, so we absolutely had to sit down and dive deep into the marketing strategies of the startup FMCG brand as it went from zero-to-1. Learn about: • Building momentum with influencers • Bootstrapping market research • Whether being a marketer prepares you to launch a business • And much, much more

  • As fall winds down and the end of the year approaches, it's a busy time for many of us. KPIs, budget allocations, campaign finalizations—all in full swing! If you’re looking for a moment to step away from the grind, we’re hosting a Marketing Networking & Social on Tuesday, October 29—a chance to meet others in the industry and exchange ideas. 📍 Venue: Avant Garde, Midtown Toronto—just a quick 5-minute walk from Davisville Station. The event is casual—no speakers or presentations, just an open bar and plenty of conversations with other marketing professionals. Spots are limited, so be sure to RSVP for your ticket, which comes with free drinks. It’s a busy time of year, but if you’re looking to expand your network and share insights with peers, we’d love to see you there.
