Culture is not about free coffee and company swag. It’s about how your team feels coming to work on Monday morning. It’s about creating an environment where they feel respected, valued, and inspired to do their best every day. Here’s how to create a culture people love: 1. Celebrate wins, big and small. Recognition lifts morale and inspires performance. 2. Prioritize work-life balance. A healthy culture begins with respecting personal boundaries. 3. Listen and show care. Make employees feel heard, valued, and supported. 4. Invest in growth. Give your team the tools and opportunities to succeed. 5. Lead by example. Your actions set the tone for everything else. Culture is how your team feels—not what you give them. Build a workplace they love being a part of. For 30 years, as a leadership & teambuilding organization we often share "life begins at the end of your comfort zone". We recognize embracing a Leader Certificate program may feel fearful for some. It is so rewarding to witness leaders' growth. Dr. Thomas Funke suggests a different framework.

Is "Stepping Out" Always Necessary? Rethinking Comfort Zone Myths. We've all heard it: "Life begins when we step out of our comfort zone." But is it really that simple? "Stepping out" implies leaving something behind. It can create a sense of loss or fear. It might make us feel we are abandoning a safe space. It can be discouraging. As a kid, I always played it safe. I've learned that the most sustainable growth often happens not by stepping out, but by expanding comfort zone. This framing is a seamless change of words, but a big shift: 1️⃣ "Expanding" focuses on the gradual progress: ↳ Venturing outside your comfort zone is a process. ↳ It doesn't require a sudden, dramatic leap. ↳ It requires a series of small, manageable steps. 2️⃣ "Expanding" suggests possibility: ↳ It emphasizes the manageable aspects of pushing your boundaries. ↳ It implies that your comfort zone is not a fixed entity. 3️⃣ "Expanding" is more sustainable: ↳ It encourages a mindset of continuous learning. ↳ It's about gradually increasing your capacity for handling new challenges, rather than constantly pushing yourself to the brink. The key? Calculated risks, not reckless leaps. It should feel right, with a touch of excitement. Stepping outside your comfort zone allows you to: ↳ Discover hidden strengths ↳ Uncover unexpected opportunities ↳ Boost your self-confidence ↳ Expand your world view Essentially, it's all about learning and growing. How do you expand your comfort zone? ___ 🤝 Learning happens better together. ♻️ Repost this to help others. Follow Dr. Thomas Funke for more insights.

Leaders join us in our virtual Connections Leadership Journey 5🌠 program beginning February 6, 2025. Each cohort of 15 leaders make a great connection that significantly enhances their experience. Plan for your leadership team to have an in-house session to strengthen your culture with a foundation of emotional intelligence.
Technology doesn’t lead people. People lead people. Data predicts the future, but only humans can read the room and empathize. 2025 will challenge leaders, teams, and organizations in ways we can’t predict. AI will keep advancing. Processes will keep automating. The hard skills we master today may be obsolete tomorrow. Many hard skills will expire. Emotional Intelligence will not. Think about it: AI is mastering repetitive tasks. Data is driving decisions. Automation is taking over daily things. What’s left? The human side. The side that tech can’t replicate: Navigating tough conversations. Motivating diverse teams. Being compassionate under pressure. The ability to understand, trust, empathize, and connect with others will be the defining skill of the next era. if there is one thing you should focus on in 2025 the year you invest in your Emotional Intelligence. Because the future isn’t just technical. It’s human, an we come with emotions. And that’s where real leadership begins. ‐---‐------------------------------- ♻️ Repost this to inspire leaders to focus on emotional intelligence. 🔔Follow me (Simon Koerner) for more.

We are printing training materials, shipping client requests for program materials, collaborating on projects and onboarding new team members...physically in the office. As a leader I am balancing team members' work preference with practically meeting our clients' needs.

Since June 2022, companies with hybrid work policies have increased their headcount by 1.6% vs. businesses mandating employees RTO, growth rate is at only 1%. Begging the question "Why do so many North American companies insist on bringing people back?" I'm the first person to advocate for in-person collaboration. However, when anything is forced, progress will be muted. Especially creativity & innovation, diminishing productivity. Who believes this debate is far from over?
