Last week, the Rogers Charity Classic team attended the Annual PGA TOUR Meetings in Orlando. We had the opportunity to share best practices and collaborate on innovative ideas with other PGA TOUR Champions tournaments. We are thrilled to announce that our team won the PGA TOUR Champion's Best Year-Round Activation!🏆 This award is presented to the tournament that excels in promoting the event in a variety of ways throughout the year. The winning tournament commits time, dollars, resources, and efforts to promoting the tournament all 12 months of the year in a variety of ways including special events, social media, community engagement, and title sponsor activation with the goal in mind of bringing relevance and awareness to the tournament, charity and title sponsor. About us
The Rogers Charity Classic will host some of the greatest names in the game of golf in Calgary at the Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club, August 12 - 18, 2024. The field, which will consist of 78 stars on the PGA TOUR Champions, will compete for US $2.4 million in a three-round, 54-hole stroke-play tournament. The only annual PGA TOUR Champions stop in Canada will showcase Calgary to the world through its broadcast on the Golf Channel. Led by a philanthropic Patron Group including Tournament Chairman – Jim Riddell, Allan Markin, Keith MacPhail, Guy Turcotte, Gary Peddle, Michael Culbert, Brad Shaw and PGA Tour Professional – Stephen Ames, along with title sponsor, Rogers Communications, the Rogers Charity Classic will remain true to the PGA TOUR Champions goal of supporting the community. The Rogers Charity Classic is proud to support over 270 children and youth-based charities in Alberta, with $112 million raised since 2013.
