A jet fighter helmet - the Gen 3 HMDS used by pilots of the F-35 Lightning II, is a $400,000 piece of tech that takes situational awareness to the next level. —---- What makes this helmet remarkable is its ability to create a full 360-degree field of vision using six external cameras mounted on the plane. These cameras feed into the helmet’s visor, allowing the pilot to "see through" the aircraft – making it almost transparent. Whether looking down at the ground or around the plane, pilots can access a stitched-together AR display that provides unobstructed views in every direction. Raising a glass in celebration! Today, we celebrate our dear friend and longtime colleague, Randy Cronin, as he 'officially retires’ from the ad industry. Randy's journey began at Baker Lovik and FWJ, where he had the amazing opportunity to work with the one and only – Wayne Gretzky on the iconic GWG account. That experience set the bar high, but Randy continued to soar like #99 himself. He moved client-side, serving as the Director of Advertising at Travel Alberta and then as Director of Marketing at Telus, before spending two decades making his biggest impact at RED, then Brandish. For those of us who have had the privilege to work with Randy over the years – myself included – it’s clear that he’s not just a brilliant researcher and strategist, but a true gentleman. So, here’s to you, Randy! Enjoy your well-deserved relaxation in those classic GWGs.
