🎉 As we count down to the new year, we’re reflecting on some incredible moments from 2024 at Queensway Carleton Hospital! 💙 Follow along this week as we share just some of our highlights from a truly memorable year.

Kwanzaa is a week-long celebration that honors African heritage and culture, observed from December 26 to January 1. Founded by Dr. Maulana Karenga in 1966, this holiday emphasizes seven principles, known as the Nguzo Saba, which include unity, self-determination, and collective work and responsibility. Families gather to light the kinara, share stories, and reflect on their heritage. Wishing all those celebrating a meaningful Kwanzaa filled with joy, connection, and community!

Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights, celebrates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem and the miracle of the oil that lasted eight days. For eight nights, families light the menorah, play games, and enjoy traditional foods like latkes and sufganiyot. This beautiful festival reminds us of resilience, faith, and the importance of community. Wishing all those celebrating a joyful and meaningful Hanukkah filled with love, laughter, and light!
