How about seeing how many complete Holiday Food Hampers you can complete for Made by Momma? Maybe you can collaborate with other teams in your workplace or league to see who can collect the most items or complete the most hampers. We will be packing Holiday Food Hampers and distributing them to families starting this week at Made by Momma! If you have already collected, we would love to receive your donations whenever you are ready. Made by Momma is a Calgary/Area volunteer-run, donation-driven, for-impact organization and registered Canadian charity! We help families facing situations of adversity and crisis by providing healthy homemade meals, wholesome baked goods, baby essentials, children’s items, supportive in-home visitors and other services to allow mothers the time they need to rest and focus on their families and their health. Because we are volunteer-run, our operating costs are kept low, and the effectiveness of donated dollars/ items very high. I am thrilled to share the success of our 2nd Annual Gift of Christmas Dinner event. Through the collaborative efforts of our friends, colleagues, partners, and our dedicated team, we successfully raised $25,000 - doubling our efforts of last year. This generosity allowed us to provide a full turkey dinner and a board game of Monopoly game to 150 families through our two charity partners, Made by Momma and Ukrainians of Calgary Association - UOCA. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this initiative. We’re looking forward to doubling it again next Christmas.
