The Government of Ontario announced today, starting July 1, 2026, Mississauga will take over key regional services from Region of Peel. This transition aims to streamline operations and improve service delivery. Services transitioning to Mississauga include: Solid Waste Collection - Mississauga will manage waste collection and two Community Recycling Centres. Roads: all roads within Mississauga boundaries.
