We believe in giving back to the communities where we build and live. By working alongside local non-profit organizations, we aim to strengthen their impact and provide meaningful support where it’s needed most. Supporting and building community is at the heart of what we do. Through partnerships with inspiring organizations, such as CityReach Care Society, Union Gospel Mission (Vancouver), Working Gear Clothing Society, The Sharing Farm Society, and Ocean Wise, we’ve created opportunities for our team to make a difference through volunteering. This year alone, our team has proudly contributed over 1,400 volunteer hours, positively affecting nearly 76,000 lives. To everyone who has volunteered their time and energy—thank you. Your generosity and commitment play a vital role in bringing people together and creating stronger, more connected communities.

Progress is being made at Harwood, our latest Formwork project in Vancouver! Located in the downtown core, the project comes with some unique challenges — particularly solving for limited space for material storage and deliveries. Meticulous scheduling is key: Our Formwork team carefully coordinates site logistics, ensuring efficient scheduling and maximizing productivity. Every hour of crane time is planned to prevent downtime and optimize delivery slots. We’re also using a hybrid shoring system for greater efficiency, combining traditional 20K Aluma Shoring with PERI SKYDECK. On the North Tower, we’re preparing for Level 1 decking with both 20K Aluma Systems and PERI SKYDECK, while the South Tower will see a slab-on-grade pour next week, allowing us to progress with the below-grade structure. Despite daily surprises, strong teamwork keeps us on track as we continue shaping Vancouver’s skyline! #BosaConstruction #Vancouver #Teamwork #ProjectUpdate

Exciting Milestone at Myriad in Burquitlam! 🎉 We are thrilled to announce that the 50-storey Myriad tower has officially topped off, marking a significant achievement in its construction journey. To honor this milestone, we gathered with our valued partners at Concert Properties for a special celebration, recognizing the hard work and dedication of everyone involved, accompanied by great food, drinks, and prizes! As we move from the topping-off phase to rapidly advancing interior finishes, Myriad is shaping up to be a stunning architectural landmark at the heart of an emerging community, just steps away from the Burquitlam SkyTrain Station. With windows nearly complete, the building is close to full enclosure. Extensive rooftop work will kick off next week, featuring steel and curtain wall installation on level 50. The crane is scheduled for dismantling early in the new year. Stay tuned for more updates as we move closer to completion! #ToppingOff #BuildingCommunities #ConstructionMilestone #BosaConstruction #MyriadBurquitlam

We’re excited to introduce Conor Redmond, a graduate of Rockridge Secondary School, one of four 2024 Bosa Construction Legacy Scholarship recipients! This scholarship is more than just funding—it’s a commitment to Conor’s full Carpentry Apprenticeship, job placement, and growth within Bosa Construction. Conor is currently working at our North Harbour project, and has been incredibly helpful to the team, bringing a great attitude. Learn about Conor's experience below! ____________________ It’s been a few months, what's the most impactful thing you've learned so far? I've learned lots! Besides all the technical skills, working here has taught me great teamwork and communication skills. There's also a lot more behind the scenes than I ever imagined. From site plans and ordering materials to delivery trucks and forklifts, seeing how all the pieces come together is impressive and is what I've enjoyed most. I’m looking forward to continuing to learn new skills and techniques. What advice would you give someone who's considering applying for this program? My advice is: Yes, I know it may sound intimidating going to work for such a large company right out of high school. It felt like a big commitment and I was nervous, but I understood then and now even more what a great opportunity this is and it’s worth a shot if you’re considering applying. They've set me up with skilled journeyman carpenters who give me useful advice and teach me new tricks everyday. With so many resources, I have no doubt that I will learn all the skills needed to get my Red Seal after I graduate from BCIT. We're thrilled to have you on board, Conor! If you know any grade 12 students interested in pursuing a Carpentry Apprenticeship, let them know about this amazing opportunity! More info on 2025 applications coming soon.

People Spotlight | Jean-Paul (JP), Assistant Superintendent Over four years ago, we were fortunate to have JP join Bosa Construction, initially working in Structural QA/QC. Leveraging his extensive Red Seal ironworker background, JP oversaw rebar placers on the Bettie Allard YMCA and 55One rental tower in Coquitlam. He also worked on Tesoro, and later Myriad, where he was promoted to Assistant Superintendent. Reflecting on why this job is the right fit, JP shares that it’s the strong relationships he’s built, and the memorable projects and teams he’s been a part of. Learn more about JP below! Having worked in the industry for a while before joining Bosa Construction, what made you interested in joining the company? The history and the quality products that the company provides were the main drivers for me to join the team. What’s something that stood out to you from your first days here? How well the site teams work together. I could reach out to anyone for help, and they had the answers or experience to help me out. Same goes for today. As an Assistant Superintendent, what’s a “day in the life” of your role? My day is spent working on structures and building envelopes, checking for safety, production, and quality. I strive to have a clean site and hold everyone accountable for their clean-up. I get it all done by showing up at 6:10 am and working until 4:00 pm every day. Is there a favourite part of your job that keeps you motivated? The people in both formwork and GC. It’s a great company to work for, I am proud to be a part of the company. Do you have a piece of advice for someone new in the industry, or following in your footsteps? Stay teachable and be accountable for your mistakes. And don’t hesitate to ask for help when you need it. What’s a skill you would love to have, professional or personal? Professionally – more computer skills. And personally – I would love to learn to make fishing rods. In my time off, I’m either fishing, buying fishing stuff, or building fishing stuff. Is there a quote you live by? “Happiness is an attitude, it's a way of life.” Thank you, JP, for sharing! At Central Park House (CPH), our Formwork team has taken on a complex and noteworthy project: a 44-level tower distinguished by its remarkable design. Notably, the amenity levels are in the centre of the building, spanning floors 17 to 19 with a pool on Level 17. To facilitate this innovative project, Revit and AutoCAD were used to develop the design. Cantilever beams on Level 15 support the scaffolding for the Level 17 slab above, ensuring structural integrity. Thrust-out beams, along with the accompanying steel structure, were specifically designed to support the scaffolding for the weight of the pool. The steel structure eliminates the need for reshoring throughout the entire building down to the slab on grade, significantly improving the finishing schedule and reducing labour costs. The structure efficiently transfers concrete loads from the Level 17 pool and cantilevered slabs on Level 17 and 19, distributing them into the columns and building core. The cantilever steel beams, extending 8 feet outward, provide essential support and load-bearing capacity, demonstrating the engineering excellence. We want to thank our Bosa Construction Formwork team for their exceptional execution of this project. Bosa Construction hosted our annual Whistler Trip last month! This event plays a big role in connecting our current legacy employees, who have dedicated over 25 years to our company, with some of our newer team members. By sharing stories of the past, offering wise advice, and gathering for activities that create lasting memories, we strengthen our bonds and build an even more cohesive, strong team. This year, we also had the pleasure of celebrating the retirement and birthday of one of our legacy colleagues in Whistler – a truly special occasion. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this year’s event unforgettable.
