Our social media engagement specialist, Kendelle Lesiuk, sat down with Oilers Nation to talk all things hockey! On this month’s Alberta Blue Cross Meaningful Moment of the Month presented by Oilers Nation, Kendelle shares one of her favourite hockey memories where her whole family suited up and played a family hockey game on a frozen pond in Saskatchewan. Does it get much more Canadian than that? 😉 Watch her video to see the full story ⬇️

December has been designated as a month to come together and stand up for equality, justice and the dignity of all humans. It’s a time to read, honour and respect the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, an international document stating the basic rights and fundamental freedoms to which all human beings are entitled.

Today is #GivingTuesday! We’re always proud to support our communities. Through Alberta Blue Cross’s Hearts of Blue and our Employee Giving Campaign, 2024 has already been a successful year. On this Giving Tuesday, our employee-led Hearts of Blue team will be donating $30,000 to emergency shelters across Alberta to support our communities’ more vulnerable populations. This organization also donated over $50,000 this year to grass roots charitable organizations. Through our Employee Giving Campaign, our employees are encouraged to donate to their favourite registered charity where it will be matched by up to $100 by Alberta Blue Cross. This campaign raised over $63,000 for local charities from October-November. Supporting community organizations across Alberta is so important, especially during the cold winter months.
