Since its foundation in 1899, the Suntory Group's mission has always been to colorfully enrich the lifestyles of consumers by delivering products that now range from alcoholic beverages including whisky, beer, and wine, to softdrinks such as oolong-tea and canned coffee. In 2009, Suntory acquired the Orangina Schweppes Group. And in May 2014, major U.S. spirits company Beam Inc. joined the Suntory Group. These changes have empowered customers worldwide to attain richer lifestyles through high-quality Suntory Group products and services. As a group that is sustained by the great bounty of nature, to pass down a sustainable global environment to the next generation, we will carry out environmental management based on Suntory’s resources and expertise. Moreover, along with this global expansion, as a company that carries the corporate message "Bringing Water to Life" and based on our DNA, "Sharing the Profit with Society," the Suntory Group will continue to coexist with the environment and with society, in harmony with people and nature around the world.     As 2024 comes to a close, I’d like to reflect on the achievements and meaningful connections that made this year so memorable.   This year brought us closer together as “One Suntory One Family,” marked by the rebranding of Beam Suntory to Suntory Global Spirits and the launch of production at Suntory Oceania’s new manufacturing facility.   We delivered exciting and innovative experiences to our consumers, such as introducing our No.1 Japanese RTD brand, -196 (minus one-nine-six), to several markets around the globe. At the same time, we made strides in sustainability, including celebrating the 20th anniversary of our Mizuiku education program, which continues to inspire future generations to protect our precious water resources.   What stands out most this year is the dedication of our team across the Suntory Group, as well as the trust and support of our partners and customers. I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped us push boundaries, deliver innovation, and make a positive impact globally – and, of course, to everyone who enjoyed our products and services!   Looking ahead, in late March next year, I will transition to the role of Chairman & CEO, while Nobu Torii will become our new President. I’m excited to work closely with him as we continue driving Suntory Group’s growth for good and inspiring the brilliance of life.   As we step into the new year and this next chapter for Suntory, I’m filled with gratitude for all we’ve accomplished and excited for the opportunities that await. Wishing everyone a peaceful holiday season and a prosperous 2025!

    Last week, we celebrated 125 years of Suntory's leadership in drinks culture with the exclusive "Suntory Bar" pop-up at Itō in Surry Hills, Sydney. In collaboration with renowned chef Khanh Nguyen, this special event featured a four-course menu paired with Suntory highball and original cocktails, showcasing Our Philosophy and its history of creating new drinking culture and experiences. Guests enjoyed a curated dining experience that reflected our commitment to innovation, blending Japanese cuisine with Suntory’s pioneering spirit.   • On #AmericaRecyclesDay, we’re proud to share that, as of 2023, 89.6% of Suntory Global Spirits (SGS) packaging is designed for recycling globally, like our redesigned Sipsmith gin bottle. By reducing materials, incorporating more #recycled content, and making recycling easier for consumers, we’re taking steps to reduce waste while maintaining the premium experience expected from our brands. Additionally, in partnership with Pivot Bio, SGS is exploring microbial nitrogen as a sustainable alternative to synthetic fertilizers, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.     The foundational role of water 💧 in both life and beverages is safe with Suntory Holdings Limited. Since 2003, the Suntory Natural Water Sanctuary Initiative has been engaging in conservation activities to ensure a future for the forests 🌳 and living organisms that are essential to the abundant groundwater in Japan’s water-resource areas. There are now 26 such sanctuaries seeking groundwater sustainability, places where experts conduct research and maintenance, and any cleared timber 🪵 is used effectively.
