🇳🇴🇺🇸 Norway welcomed representatives from Mayo Clinic, one of the most renowned healthcare organisations in the US, to explore partnerships with innovative Norwegian health tech companies. The week started with a meeting with Equinor to discuss the possibility of providing remote healthcare services to offshore platforms in the North Sea. They also met EpiGuard, renowned for its safe transport solutions for contagious patients. The delegation then travelled to Tromsø, where they visited the University Hospital of North Norway and UiT-The Arctic University of Norway. These visits focused on emergency medicine in the Arctic, use of AI and big data in healthcare, collaboration with the Norwegian Armed Forces, medicines from the seabed, and the Health Science Innovation Hub. They also met with the TTO Norinnova AS and heard from five regional innovative companies: Alfred Surgery, Unifractal, Keenious, Helseboka and Excitus AS. During the Arctic Evening Reception, co-hosted by ProTromsø AS, the group heard the firsthand account of the survival story of Anna Bågenholm. The week concluded in Oslo with discussions with Vestre Viken Health Trust, followed by visits to Oslo Cancer Cluster and the Proton Therapy Centre at Oslo University Hospital. Innovation Norway is the official Norwegian trade and investment promotion organisation and plays a key role in connecting Norwegian companies with major players in the US health tech market through its US-based advisors.
