The Society of Construction Law, India was formed with an affiliation to the Society of Construction Law in the United Kingdom which was founded in 1983. The Society was formed with a perceived need for a body to promote research and education in the field of construction law and a means by which people from all sectors of the construction industry, including lawyers, arbitrators, experts, contractors, architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, insurers, etc. throughout the country and overseas could come together to discuss issues relating to construction law.
