The Rehbars (Community Cadre) of Falaknuma, driven by the determination of passionate women changemakers, stood up for their community by tackling the pressing issue of inadequate public transportation. This challenge had long affected daily lives, hindered girls' mobility and education, and impacted livelihoods. Through their persistent advocacy, a significant change has been achieved: two new bus routes now connect Teegalkunta to Charminar and Secunderabad, providing much-needed relief to commuters and empowering the community. This showcases the transformative power of collective action and highlights the critical role of women’s leadership in creating meaningful change. #projectujaagar Today, the third and the final cohort of We Hub’s ‘Project Ujaagar’ program proudly graduated. In collaboration with SAFA India, WE Hub launched ‘Project Ujaagar - A Financial and Digital Inclusion Program’ to support minority women entrepreneurs by helping them strengthen their financial literacy and formalize their businesses. WE Hub CEO, Ms. Sita Pallacholla, shared her excitement, saying, "I am incredibly proud of these inspiring women – the entrepreneurs of tomorrow. Project Ujaagar is more than just a program; it’s about helping women find their confidence, improve their skills, and build strong businesses. Their accomplishments are a testament to Telangana's commitment to supporting women in business and creating opportunities for economic growth". Ms. Rubina N expressed her belief that WE Hub and SAFA have tremendous potential to collaborate on a wide range of programs, further strengthening their partnership and creating impactful opportunities for women entrepreneurs. The program has been designed to improve the socio-economic standing of minority communities and create inclusive opportunities for women across Hyderabad and Telangana. A total of 203 women from the minority community have successfully completed the course, with 134 women now holding their Udyam Certificates. Various market connects has been provided to increase their brand visibility. Two women have been linked to financial support amounting to Rs. 5,10,000 through PMEGP and Mudra loan, helping them take their businesses to the next level.
