Breaking Barriers to Education for Students with Disabilities 🌍🎓 In India, children with disabilities face significant challenges in completing education: - Only 9% complete secondary school - 45% remain illiterate - Only 62.9% of disabled children aged 3-35 attend regular schools For those with locomotive disabilities, especially wheelchair users, the daily task of getting to school or college can be an overwhelming barrier to education. Moreover, parents, as primary caregivers, are forced to spend a considerable portion of their daily income to ensure transportation to and from school, impacting their livelihood and well-being. At NeoMotion, we are dedicated to breaking these barriers. Through partnerships with NGOs, government bodies, and the Department of Inclusive Education, we assess and identify students with disabilities in need, providing them with mobility solutions to access education and a brighter future. We believe Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) can play a pivotal role in empowering these students, and we invite organizations focused on education to join us in this mission. If your company is committed to inclusive education and wants to make a lasting impact on students with disabilities, let’s connect and discuss how we can collaborate through your CSR efforts. 🔗 Reach out today: Siddarth Daga Co-Founder, Chief Impact Officer Email: sdaga@neomotion.co.in Phone: 9445383599 NeoMotion – Empowering lives, enabling education. #CSR #InclusiveEducation #DisabilityInclusion #CorporateResponsibility #MobilityForAll #education #inclusiveeducation #wheelchair #mobility #education #impact Swostik Sourav Dash | Sujatha Srinivasan Indian Institute of Technology, Madras | IITM Incubation Cell

From Enthusiastic Student to Purpose-Driven Manufacturer In 2011, I started my movement, #yeswetoocan , with a heartfelt mission to encourage and support my fellow persons with disabilities in embracing sports. My own journey began in 2010 when I was honored with the Most Encouraging Sports Person Award for my swimming performance at the Corporate Olympiad. It was a transformative moment that opened my eyes to the incredible benefits of sports—not just for physical health, but for mental well-being as well. While I discovered the joys of swimming, I faced challenges in entering and exiting the pool. This struggle resonated with many others like me. In my search for solutions, I turned to Google and found pool lifts in other countries, but none were available in India. I realized that importing such equipment would pose servicing challenges. After much brainstorming, I decided to approach the Mechanical Engineering Department at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. When I met with the Head of Department, he was surprised by my initiative. I explained that IITs are premier institutions for engineering innovation, and who better to help than them? He kindly introduced me to Prof. Sujatha, who had already been working on assistive devices. With her support, we explored the possibility of assigning this project to her students. She accepted my request without hesitation. Two of her students—Swostik Sourav Dash and his friend—took on the assignment with enthusiasm. From that moment on, my interactions with Swostik began. His passion, commitment, and empathy were evident as they worked diligently to create a prototype of the pool lift, which was even used in one of our swimming competitions. However, significant support is still needed to bring this prototype to market. After completing his studies, Swostik ventured into corporate life but was driven by his passion to start NeoMotion alongside other like-minded individuals. Recently, when I visited their factory, I was filled with joy to see Swostik’s transformation from an enthusiastic student to a mature manufacturer of products that are changing lives and empowering many persons with disabilities. We need many more qualified, enthusiastic, and socially responsible young individuals to step forward and support society in empowering others while growing themselves. Hats off to professors like Prof. Sujatha for encouraging students to think about uplifting their fellow beings while nurturing their own growth and prosperity. My best wishes will always be with you and your NeoMotion team, Swostik. Together, let’s continue this journey of empowerment and transformation! #purpose #socialresponsibility 1. 1st photo was taken during our swimming championship where we used the prototype of the poo lift made by Swostik and his friend 2. 2nd photo -Swostik and me at their factory
