The fight for gender equality is far from over: 🌟 1 in 3 women still face violence. 🌟 Women die daily from preventable pregnancy-related causes. 🌟 Only 1 in 4 parliamentarians are women. 🌟 With this pace, the gender pay gap may not close until 2086. As the world unites for the #16DaysofActivism, we owe it to the next generations to build a future where women enjoy the same rights and opportunities as men. Let’s take action today. Together, we can create a world where every woman has voice, choice, and agency. #16DaysOfActivism #EndGBV #JanSahas #OrangeTheWorld #NoExcuse #StopViolenceAgainstWomen #GenderEquality #EUGender European Commission European Union The Karuna Trust #EUAmbassadorForGenderAndDiversity #EUIndiaEkSaath #EUGenderChampion #16DaysOfActivism

As the world approaches the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action in 2025, the 16 Days of Activism provide a vital opportunity to reaffirm commitments and demand accountability from leaders. As part of this campaign, Jan Sahas conducted an engaging awareness drive in Baghmugalia near Bhopal City, featuring a mehndi competition for women and girls. The participants crafted designs that emphasized the end of gender-based violence. Meanwhile, in Dholpur, Rajasthan, a painting competition was organized where women and girls illustrated slogans and drawings to combat gender-based violence. Despite increasing awareness and public outcry, much more remains to be done to prevent violence against women, halt its escalation, provide adequate support for survivors, and ensure perpetrators are punished. Join the Movement! Break the silence. Spread awareness. Support survivors. Together, we build a future of safety, equality and justice. Breaking silence is the first step toward raising awareness and driving action. At the One-Day Training Workshop in Chittorgarh, organised under the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, the harsh realities faced by women, children, and marginalized laborers were brought to the forefront, addressing issues of violence, trafficking, and mental health. From the trauma of exploitation to the barriers in accessing mental health support, their stories highlight the urgent need for inclusive interventions. Key stakeholders—including the District Legal Services Authority, Police Department, and CSOs—have pledged to prioritize these issues in their actions and policies. Resilience begins with collective commitment and shared responsibility. At Jan Sahas, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Chittorgarh News and all partners and participants for amplifying these crucial voices. #16DaysOfActivism #GenderJustice #GrassrootsChange #16daysofactivismagainstgenderbasedviolence #euambassadorforgenderanddiversity #EUInternationalPartnerships #EUGenderChampion #EUIndiaEkSaath European Commission Karuna Deutschland e.V.
