Driving Youth Potential: HHH at the GOYN Global Convening Team HHH participated in the 5th Annual Global Opportunity Youth Network (GOYN) Global Convening, held in Pune, Maharashtra, from 17th to 21st November 2024. Hosted by the Lighthouse Communities Foundation in collaboration with Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporations, this impactful event brought together over 15 global communities to explore the theme, “Transforming Youth Livelihoods: Pathways to Full Potential.” We showcased our place-based initiatives in Raichur and Kalaburagi, Karnataka, designed to create economic opportunities for Opportunity Youth. Through skill-building, mentoring, and providing access to resources, our efforts focus on enabling young individuals to shape sustainable and dignified livelihoods. As part of the panel discussion on “Innovations and Opportunities in the Indian Economic Landscape,” we tackled the urgent challenge of youth unemployment. With India being home to the world’s largest youth population, our dialogue emphasised the importance of investing in strategies that empower young people to fulfil their aspirations and access meaningful career pathways. We represented our place-based model in Raichur and Kalaburagi, Karnataka, focused on building economic mobility for Opportunity Youth.   During the panel on "Innovations and Opportunities in the Indian Economic Landscape," we explored the critical need for youth-centric solutions to tackle unemployment across urban and rural India. With the largest youth population in the world, Bharat is at a crossroads—unlocking their potential requires investing in skills, aspirations, and pathways to dignified livelihoods.   The convening reinforced the power of collaboration, innovation, and community-driven models.
