A heartfelt thank you to the passionate Walmart Global Tech India volunteers who joined us for an engaging online session! The volunteers came together to record reading exercises for our teachers, infusing each lesson with warmth, expression, and clarity to support children battling Learning Poverty. At the start of the session, the volunteers stepped into the shoes of children struggling with Learning Poverty, experiencing firsthand the challenges of decoding and reading. With this newfound understanding, they contributed their voices to help teachers model fluent reading. We recently conducted a one-day training for our dedicated government teachers in Ahmedabad, focusing on practical teaching strategies that can be directly applied in their classrooms.  The training aimed to: 🔍 Help teachers quickly identify gaps in students' learning and address them during the lesson. ✏️ Equip teachers with simple yet fun activities to improve reading skills ➗ Guide teachers on how to break down and teach word problems The feedback from the teachers has been truly encouraging: ▪️ 86% shared that "The session was a good use of my time." ▪️ 87% expressed, "I am confident to apply what I learned today in my classroom." This training wasn’t just about sharing techniques; it was about building confidence and fostering a collaborative spirit among teachers to refine their teaching practices. With hands-on demos and peer learning, we aimed to make this session not only practical but impactful for every participant. In collaboration with organizations from eight countries, we conducted field interviews and gathered insights from teachers and stakeholders, providing a deep look into the challenges of implementing High-Impact Teaching Practices.
