#YeastProtein has become an ideal complementary protein to plant-based proteins in the plant-based and vegan sectors. It addresses the shortcomings of plant-based products from various aspects, including amino acid composition, human absorption, and functional ingredients, providing a perfect solution to the deficiencies in traditional plant proteins. Yeast protein boasts a more complete amino acid profile, with a PDCAAS of 1.0, approaching that of whey protein and outperforming soy protein, positioning it as a high-quality protein. Additionally, yeast protein has a high biological value (BV), surpassing nearly all plant proteins, with a digestibility rate of up to 96%, making it more easily absorbed and utilized by the body. In contrast, soy protein contains some anti-nutritional factors that may affect its absorption rate. Beyond protein, yeast is rich in essential minerals, dietary fiber, and bioactive proteins like metallothioneins, which support overall health. Yeast protein also excels in foam stability and dissolves better in water, with a relatively low apparent viscosity, further enhancing its functional properties. Notably, it also helps address the lysine deficiency often found in plant proteins.
