Question from JohnGaming (05:47, 2 October 2024)
[edit]Hi boss, what type of edits you suggest me to do first? Like some minor edits for example adding links, references, sentence correction or I can also work on adding more paragraphs into an existing article? --JohnGaming (talk) 05:47, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- Not your boss, I say lightheartedly. You definitely can make minor edits. As for content, I would suggest skimming our list of sources that people have most commonly discussed at the reliable sources noticeboard: not to memorize, just to get an idea of what to cite when adding content. Finally, as a new editor, if someone asks you to stop doing something, listen no matter how right you think you are. Usually, such a request comes with the relevant policy or guideline that you can read up on. You can ask questions at the Teahouse. Happy editing! Question from Degenhardt.jd (19:09, 6 October 2024)
[edit]Hello! I've been working on creating new articles and most things are going well so far. The one spot I keep getting stuck with though is how to create drafts that I can save. I see there are a couple different ways to do this. The first seems to be the draft space. and the second is by making drafts in my userpage. I was able to find a page that has a linked template for creating new articles in draftspace, but can not figure out a way to easily make ones in my userpage. I also can figure out a way to find my drafts other than be going back through my edit log.
Is there some easy way to make new drafts and then find them on my userpage?
Thanks! --Degenhardt.jd (talk) 19:09, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- If I understand your question correctly, one of the simpler ways is probably to go to Wikipedia:Sandbox organiser, click the button that says
Click here to create your own Sandbox Organiser
, then scroll down and clickPublish page
. You should now have your own sandbox organizer, a centralized place with instructions on how to create drafts and handy links to see a list of your own userpage drafts. There are some other ways, but this should be a good place to start while you grow more familiar with Wikipedia's interface. Happy editing! How do I create my profile --Tdeoleo (talk) 15:51, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
- Depends on what you mean by "profile". If you mean your userpage, you can create it by clicking your username in red. If you mean an article about you, please see
