You can describe or draw your vision with text or image prompts¹ and watch while Cocreator works alongside you, creating artwork based on the prompts and sketching you do on the Paint canvas. Personalize your drawing with a mouse or touchscreen while simultaneously using text-prompts. Cocreator also includes Ink Anywhere, a feature that lets you write prompts directly with a pen on touch-sensitive areas.

Follow these steps to bring your creativity to life:

1. Open Microsoft Paint and select the Cocreator icon on the toolbar. The side pane opens.
   
2. In the text box, describe what you want to create. Use your mouse, pen, or touch to start drawing on the canvas.
   
   Cocreator modifies the image in real time based on your input. For example, enter "a clown in the circus juggling basketballs" or "a solitary pine tree in a forest of aspen trees.”
   
   Be as descriptive as possible. Choose any tools or colors you like. For best results, use the colors you want in the final image, apply broad brush strokes, and cover as much of the canvas as possible.
3. Start drawing on the canvas with your mouse or stylus. For best results, use the colors you desire in the output, broader brush strokes and the fill up the canvas as much as you can. As you draw, Cocreator generates the artwork in the side pane based on your text and sketch.
4. Adjust the Creativity level by moving the slider. Lower creativity means less input from Cocreator and the output will be closer to your sketch. Higher creativity means more from Cocreator and the output will be more imaginative and diverse. Be as bold or as subtle as you want.
5. Select a Style option from the drop-down menu. You can use creative styles to give your masterpiece an original look. Choose from a variety of imaginative styles like watercolors, pixel art, and more.
6. Finalize your artwork by selecting the generated image in the side pane to apply it to the Paint canvas. You can continue refining your image by adding more details to your text prompt or save the file.
