Taiwanese lead, Mo Tzu-Yi, came to the project by a chance meeting in Hong Kong. "I was attending the Hong Kong Film Market a few years ago and was watching as many Chinese, South-East Asian and Taiwanese films as I could to look for interesting faces and new talents," he recalled. "I saw this one Taiwanese film with an absolutely riveting lead performance. Overall: New and long enough. Hook facts are... middling. ALT4 is definitely the best of the bunch. Cruddy work while waiting for a break is a trope at this point, pacing oneself does not seem to be too unusual, and bookstore employees liking reading is a truism. ALT3 could be a bit better if we bring up that he was literally right there when the director inquired. AGF on Chinese-language sources. Earwig doesn't show issues with English ones. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 22:13, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
- Chris, I was actually thinking differently. I placed ALT4 in that position because I found it the least interesting, as actors win awards all the time, and those unfamiliar with Chinese-language films may not appreciate the prestige of a Golden Horse Award.
- Perhaps we could rephrase ALT3 to something like this: ALT5: "... that an Australian director, after seeing Taiwanese actor Mo Tzu-yi's work, tried to inquire about him at a film market, only to find Mo standing right behind him?" —Prince of Erebor(The Book of Mazarbul) 07:38, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- That's good! I do like ALT5. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 14:51, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Crisco 1492: Great, I am also fine to go with ALT5. Is there anything else that needs my attention before we proceed with this review? —Prince of Erebor(The Book of Mazarbul) 15:22, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- Nope, I'll just reinstate the tick and specifically say ALT5 approved! — Chris Woodrich (talk) 15:25, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
- Prince of Erebor, I can't find the bit about "standing behind him" in the article. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 11:28, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oops, I forgot to rephrase the article per ALT5. Now fixed. Thanks a lot, AirshipJungleman29! —Prince of Erebor(The Book of Mazarbul) 15:38, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
