How can a city revitalize its downtown, enhance vibrancy, and tackle challenges like unreinforced masonry (URM) buildings? These are the questions our Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) was tasked with addressing in the City of Vacaville this August. Now, read the final report, just published: https://lnkd.in/gRtkpM89
TAPs provide strategic advice on complex land use and real estate development issues for local clients, such as municipalities, public agencies, and non-profit developers.
ULI SF convened a team of seven volunteer subject matter experts from diverse disciplines to work with Vacaville leaders to develop strategies for:
- Transforming downtown into a destination for residents and visitors.
- Implementing cost-effective approaches to upgrade URM buildings.
- Expanding housing solutions while preserving the area’s character.
- Enhancing streetscapes and creating dynamic community spaces.
The report contains actionable recommendations for downtown marketing, historic preservation, placemaking, and more. Read our most recent blog post to learn about the panel’s findings and access the full report: https://lnkd.in/gEDqHaP4
