📣MOSAIC was (re)presented at the 20th Munin Conference on Scholarly Publishing, in Norway, by Eva Librán Pérez, from Université Jean Monnet Saint-Etienne! 🌐Hosted by UiT - The Artic University of Norway, this Conference aims to be a platform that supports the #AcademicCommunity to share research at EU level (and beyond), providing it with #openaccess, #opendata and #openscience. 👩💼Eva's presentation aimed not only to present MOSAIC and all of the Research conducted so far by the project partners, with participation of key stakeholders from Education and Arts and Crafts sectors (see https://lnkd.in/dUN8CZ_9), but also to present the future European Observatory for Arts and Crafts that is being developed in the project. 🙋♀️This was a huge opportunity to take MOSAIC farther, to other countries and to 40 key stakeholders from the Academic Community, and a chance for Eva to promote the Observatory as a place where "our knowledge, our research, our network and our experiments to be freely accessible to the entire craft community". 🙌 🔭More news about the "Crafting Your Future" Observatory will be given soon! #mosaiceuproject #designyourexcellence #researchanddevelopment #VocationalExcellence #ErasmusPlus #aroundtheworld #seminar #knowledgesharing

✈️ Can you believe that 1 month already passed since all MOSAIC partners crossed the ocean to come to Canada? Time flies! ⏳ The study visit to the Canadian MOSAIC partners Cégep de Victoriaville, #ENME and INOVEM - Centre d'innovation (bois et matériaux connexes) indeed had a positive impact on all of them. 🙋♀️ This was what the French partners had to say about this one of a kind experience 🙋♂️ Chambre de Métiers et de l'Artisanat Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes: “During our time with INOVEM, we gained a deeper understanding of how the organisation is structured within CÉGEP and ENME, and how they collaborate closely with companies to foster innovation and sustainable growth. We were particularly impressed by how INOVEM tailors its support to each company’s specific needs, helping them to integrate cutting-edge practices and technologies into their operations.” SEPR: “SEPR’s visit to INOVEM provided valuable insights, sparking new ideas for enhancing collaboration and practical learning in vocational training across Europe. INOVEM’s approach to real-world, applied research offers SEPR a practical model to consider. Building on our current partnerships, we see opportunities to bring industry partners directly into SEPR’s training spaces, creating a more engaging, hands-on experience for students. This experience has reinforced our commitment to supporting industries with relevant skills and knowledge for steady, sustainable growth.” Université Jean Monnet Saint-Etienne: “At MOSAIC, we strongly believe that R&D should be implemented inside each and every VET centers. We were eager to learn how INOVEM works within the scholar system, and we weren't disappointed! The model offered by INOVEM is well recognized in Québec, and praised by companies. We had the chance to visit some of them and all told us the same thing: " INOVEM resolved an issue that I had in my company. Everyone should mandate INOVEM. So, what are we waiting for? Stay tuned for our next paper to be published: a list of recommendations for VET centres to implement R&D! “ #mosaiceuproject #designyourexcellence #ErasmusPlus #VocationalExcellence #Cooperation #partnershipgoals #culturalexchange #BestPractices #Crossthepond

🆕As co-leading partner of MOSAIC dissemination and communication activities, Materahub is very active when it comes to present the project in the different initiatives it is invited to participate. 👩🏫 Eleonora Santini (Materahub) participated at the All Digital Summit 2024, held in Madrid (ES) between 15 and 17 of October, and took this opportunity to present MOSAIC. 🌐🔗Titled "ENGAGED DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP: Connecting for an informed and conscious society", this Summit gathered many European organisations and their experts to engage in discussions and in networking activities, and to share their knowledge and views on the latest developments in digital education and training. 📌In synergy with the context and issues addressed in this event, space and emphasis was given to the training resources developed by the MOSAIC project in its #Digitisation module for VET school teachers. 💻💡During a session about "Fostering the digital society", it was possible to deepen and share the concepts behind the MOSAIC Digitisation module that guided the development of its theoretical contents and practical tools: providing the best #digitaltools for teachers to create a learning environment that is as facilitating, inclusive and overcomes inequalities and barriers as possible, a #shiftofmindset that recognises concepts such as #inclusion and #accessibility as priorities, and equipping teachers with tools that can then be applied and chosen in a personalised way by students according to their specific #learningneeds 🙌 ℹ More news about MOSAIC Training Modules (including the Digitalisation module presented by Eleonora) and on how VET Teachers and Students can participate on their piloting session will be provided soon! #mosaiceuproject #designyourexcellence #dissemination #cooperation #networking #ProfessionalDevelopment #VocationalExcellence #artsandcrafts

🆒MOSAIC project, funded by #ErasmusPlus under its CoVEs initiative, is developing a new qualification focused on Arts and Crafts which includes entrepreneurship studies. 🎯The aim is to create modules (or parts of modules) that will equip Vocational Education and Training (VET) students with skills that will help them to become more successful as professionals, both as employees and self-employed (i.e., owners of their own businesses) 💪 💡At #OMNIA (Finland), a team of ten developers has been working for two years in creating content to develop teaching in entrepreneurship, art and visual expression and woodwork sector. They have also produced content for two courses for Teachers: Digital Skills for Teachers, and Skills for Social Inclusion. From the wood sector, OMNIA teachers Juhani Horelli and Mona Olander, and tutor Ville Arpiainen, have been content producers for the Future of Furniture Making course: ✍️In the field of Art and Visual Expression, teacher Eija Hakala has created content in the area of "Branding and marketing your own skills"; 💹On the Entrepreneurship education side, Jonna Haltia and Aleksi Vihunen have developed content related to the branding, sales and social marketing of own skills; At the moment, the above mentioned modules, or parts of them, are being tested and piloted with OMNIA students on the MOSAIC project's Moodle platform. 🙋♀️🙋One part of this piloting was carried out at an event in a big shopping mall nearby OMNIA. There, its Business students sold OMNIA artisan students’ products and, at the same time, they practised their entrepreneurship skills 🏵 🪚🖥Pictures from the woodworking industry and from the advertising agency of the Art and Media students tell their own story 👇 #mosaiceuproject #designyourexcellence #VocationalExcellence #skillsdevelopment #theoryintopractice #learningbydoing #digitalisation #inclusion #entrepreneurmindset

The MOSAIC Canadian 🇨🇦 journey continues, thanks to INOVEM - Centre d'innovation (bois et matériaux connexes) discovering inspiring players of the local wood-making and craft eco-system in Quebec. A warm thanks to our hosts 😊: PRISE Inc - a vocational rehabilitation organisation, facilitating professional reintegration of vulnerable members of society, through wood-making for commercial products. Les boises La Fleur inc - illustrating the power of developing specialist niche products to facilitate optimisation of production processes and competitive leverage. Maison des métiers d'art de Québec - a vocational fine craft school in the heart of Québec city, dedicated to contemporary craft practices and specialising in ceramics, fabrics and sculptures. The take-homes? ✔️ The power of craft in facilitating social inclusion with sustainable business models. 🫂 ✔️ The ‘Future of Craft Making’ is not about replacing staff with technology, but harnessing the potential of digital muscle and human brain power. ⚖️ ✔️ The potential of supporting the future of traditional techniques, through digital tools, they are not competitors. 🍁🍁🍁 Cégep de Victoriaville SEPR Materahub Omnia, Espoon seudun koulutuskuntayhtymä LAB University of Applied Sciences Ola Kukkasniemi Scuola Centrale Formazione EfVET Uniser Soc.
