It’s that time of year for festive office parties and get-togethers with new and familiar connections. As you’re spending time with your network, strengthening your relationships and meeting new people, check out our five top tips to make the most of your networking: 🎯 Set realistic goals. Setting an achievable goal, teaming up with a friend or colleague to attend events together, and even attending online webinars are great ways to start. ✅ Update your LinkedIn profile. Take a moment to update your profile. Reach out to your connections and engage with their posts to help you foster stronger relationships. 🛡️ Make sure you trust who you are connecting with. Verification badges on LinkedIn mean an identity, workplace, or educational institution has been verified, which can help you to make more informed decisions about who you are connecting with. ➕ Choose to connect or follow. If you don't yet trust who you're looking to connect with but want to learn from them, consider following them instead. 💬 Personalize & follow up. Send personalized connection requests after meeting someone new, and use the 'Catch Up' tab to find opportunities to reach out and keep the conversation going.

At LinkedIn, we’re always exploring new ways to bring people together, and we’re excited to do this through LinkedIn Games. In fact, we’ve just released our newest addition today—Tango! This logic-based game not only sharpens the mind but also offers fresh opportunities to connect with your network in creative ways. Since launching LinkedIn Games five months ago, we’ve seen an overwhelmingly positive response, with 80% of players returning to play the following day and 76% coming back a week later. Tango joins our other games—Pinpoint, Crossclimb, and Queens—continuing to provide fun ways to engage with connections. Beyond friendly competition, tools like the Grow and Catch Up tabs in My Network make it easier to build and maintain meaningful relationships. Whether it’s congratulating someone on a new job or celebrating a work anniversary, these interactions can spark friendly banter—and now, users can jump into a game like Tango directly from these tabs to keep the conversations (and competition) going strong. For those looking to expand their network or stay connected, LinkedIn Games offers a dynamic way to keep conversations flowing. To learn more, check out the below post from Lakshman Somasundaram, Director of Product Management at LinkedIn.
Big news: we’re expanding the LinkedIn games lineup today, with another original game — Tango! Here’s a quick read about the game + some fun new conversational features we’re rolling out across all our games. Once you’re done reading, join me in taking Tango for a spin (and get that streak started!) — linkedin.com/games/tango 💃🕺.

Have you tried LinkedIn’s new Catch Up tab yet? See how LinkedIn Career Expert, Catherine Fisher, uses this feature to easily find more opportunities by regularly keeping up with her network.
Did you know nearly a quarter of people spend 6-10 hours a week building their professional network? Networking can be a challenge, but it doesn't have to be a time-consuming task. In my latest article for Fast Company, I uncover some game-changing strategies to make networking more engaging and efficient – just like playing pickleball! 🥒🎾 Join the banter: Just like the banter on the pickleball court, leverage ongoing conversations to catch up with your network. Engage in comments, spark side conversations, and build relationships with the right "players" in your professional journey. Practice makes perfect: Networking is a skill that improves with practice. Instead of one large yearly effort, try networking a little each week. The ongoing networking will have the biggest impact. So, consider different ways to connect with people, and keep in mind that brevity and specificity are key! Have the right tools: Just as the right shoes and paddle make a difference in pickleball, set yourself up with the right tools for networking success. Explore the Catch Up tab within the Network section on LinkedIn for timely reasons to reconnect, and leverage the AI-powered writing assistant for help with drafting personalized, effective messages. Read more about these strategies in my article: https://lnkd.in/gSgB_jW9
