Memphis Mayor Paul Young, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - ALSAC President & CEO Richard Shadyac, FedEx Founder & Chair Fred Smith, and xAI's Senior Manager Brent Mayo joined hundreds of business leaders like Duncan F. Williams and Bill Dunavant for the Greater Memphis Chamber's Annual Chairman's Luncheon at The Peabody Memphis. Among the 2024 wins celebrated during the luncheon: the almost $400 million in federal funding received for America's River Crossing, the upgraded replacement for the 75-year-old I-55 bridge (the single largest transportation investment in TN history) and news that xAI plans an unprecedented expansion of its "Colossus" supercomputer facility. She will become Orion's president and CEO on Jan. 1, following the retirement of Daniel Weickenand.
