Just in time for Cisco’s 40th anniversary, I’m excited to share our FY24 Purpose Report. Our Purpose is to Power an Inclusive Future for All—but that future cannot happen without a healthy planet. We have long been committed to reducing our environmental impact: since 2008, we have been setting and achieving a series of 5-year goals to reduce our absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHGs emissions. Below are a few of my top #CiscoPurpose FY24 highlights: • ⚡ 96% of electricity for Cisco facilities came from renewable sources • 🌳 $35M approved to fund climate solutions through the Cisco Foundation since FY21 • ✅ 96% of new Cisco products and packaging meet Circular Design Principles This work continues to be critical, particularly as we face the increasing energy demands of AI. We’ll continue to be guided by our environmental sustainability strategy, The Plan for Possible, and advance sustainability in our products, accelerate clean energy access, support suppliers’ reduced environmental impacts, and foster resiliency in communities. I want to thank the teams whose unwavering commitment and innovative efforts are driving and accelerating our journey toward a more sustainable future. What an amazing week in Shanghai! As we wrap up, I’m feeling really grateful to have been a part of Cisco’s 30th anniversary in China and celebrating the team's award as one of the Best Workplaces in Greater China for the fifth year in a row. In Chinese, this is truly a "双喜" or "double joy"! Huge congratulations to everyone, and there's nothing like being here in person to celebrate these moments with you. Other highlights of the week included the grand opening of our new Shanghai office, a space designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and sustainability alongside connecting with customers, partners, and colleagues at Cisco Shanghai Connect. We had the opportunity to showcase some of our latest innovations—Wi-Fi 7, Cloud Secure Access, and AI-ready Data Center Infrastructure—all designed to help customers thrive in an increasingly digital, AI-powered world. I’ve said it once and I will say it again - No one does it like Cisco; Bringing together the power of the network with security, observability, and collaboration to tackle today’s challenges and future-proof businesses. A big thank you to the entire Greater China team for such a warm welcome, and to all the presenters who took the time to share their insights with us. It’s been an amazing 30 years in China.
