Typical design agencies be like: HR: No Monisha, we cannot give holidays on account of Ashura (Muharram) as we are based in the USA (Sugarland, Texas); we follow the US calendar, so NO HOLIDAYS. Sorry, but the CEO's investor will get upset if the money doesn't come in. Monisha: What about US public holidays? Will you allow those? HR: NO. We're working in Pakistan, right? All operations will be carried out as per schedule. Holiday for what? Come to the office, upsell, and revive dead accounts. Monisha : 🥲 #RedFlag #AlexKayPechyAslam #BusinessBasedOnLies #DesignAgency #DoubleStandards

🗓️ Long weekend 🎇 ✅ Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has approved the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs' proposal for five-day Reunification Day-Labor Day holiday from April 27 to May 1. 🆓 Public servants and workers nationwide will take April 29, Monday, off, and then go to work on May 4, Saturday. 🎯 Under a dispatch issued by the government on Friday, Chinh noted that agencies and departments taking breaks according to this schedule should arrange appropriate personnel to serve the people and handle unexpected events that may occur. 📌 Previously, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs noted that agencies and units that do not have a fixed two-day weekend off should arrange the make-up work day appropriately based on their specific plans. 💰 The government schedule applies to public servants, but the Ministry encourages private enterprise owners to apply it to their employees, ensuring full salary and bonuses. 📅 Starting in 2021, Vietnam added an extra day off to the National Day holiday (Sept. 2), either on Sept. 1 or Sept. 3. In total, there are 11 official days off for holidays in a year. Foreign workers in Vietnam have two extra days off: one on their traditional New Year holiday, and the other on their countries' National Day holiday. https://lnkd.in/g4uaDG59

🗨️ “I can maintain my daily expenses and save a bit of money. I think that's what every employee expects.” Being paid the London Living Wage is one reason why Yamini, from Mediterranean ingredients producer Belazu | B Corp™ wants to continue working at Belazu for a long time. Being paid fairly boosts staff productivity, motivation, and recruitment and retention. 📢 Employers who sign up by 31 March 2025 will have access to a range of benefits from Ealing Council, including your very own council Business Buddy. 🔗 Could your organisation benefit from paying the London Living Wage? As the festive season jingles its way towards us, we want to take a moment to thank our clients for trusting us with your Immigration and Employment matters throughout the year. To help keep the festive spirit bright, here are our Seasonal Top Tips: 1. Wrap up your applications: Don’t leave them to the last minute. The Home Office, like Santa, has deadlines. 2. Check it twice: Your list of supporting documents, that is. Forgetting proof of language is like forgetting the batteries for a Christmas gift. 3. Deck the halls with compliance policies: Nothing says ‘festive cheer’ like a robust HR system. 4. Spread goodwill in the workplace: Just as Santa ensures his elves are happy in the workshop, review contracts and policies to protect your employees’ rights and make holiday entitlements clear. From all of us at Magrath Sheldrick LLP, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
