Post any questions here before hand if you like?
In 2 weeks time I will share a 'stage' with three people I greatly admire and feel priviledged to know quite well via the wonderful community that is Renewd - Victoria Mellor (Crumby), Ince Saleem and Philip Doyle. This is the panel at the next Renewd Europe Leaders Roundtable in London, where we'll be discussing the great topic of "HOW TO BUILD RECURRING REVENUE WITH EVENTS". If you are a Renewd Europe member - I look forward to seeing you there! If you'd like to come along and you're not yet a member - please get in touch with Sue Stevens via sue.stevens@renewd.net. Membership is only available to senior leaders of organisations focused subscriptions, memberships or events. Sue will be able to let you know if you qualify and which companies are already represented as Renewd Europe members. cc Julian Rose Robin Crumby Alicia Drew Sharise Wilkinson Victoria Rennie Serena McMahon Carola York

Networking Tips for Leaders!!! Dear Peace Leaders, Reflecting on my recent panel session at the United Nations Nigeria Interagencies and Federal Ministry of Youth Development, Nigeria Youth Development Preparation Event for the Summit of the Future on June 20, 2024, I emphasized the importance of effective networking strategies. Here are key insights to enhance your networking experience: 1. Connect with as many like-minded individuals as possible during and after events to broaden your network. 2. Within 72 hours of meeting, reach out to new contacts to express gratitude and solidify professional relationships. 3. Focus on nurturing connections with 3-5 individuals who share your interests and with whom you connect well. 4. Share opportunities and relevant ideas with your network to foster meaningful engagements over time. Remember, effective networking is about authenticity and long-term relationship building. Here are a few additional tips to consider: - Keep contacts even if you don’t immediately need them; you never know when they might be valuable. - Focus on making an impact rather than impressing others; genuine connections are built on shared goals and values. Let’s continue to connect and collaborate for sustainable peacebuilding efforts worldwide. Thank you. Warm regards, Moses ABOLADE, Peacebuilding Facilitator and Host

Sometime ago I was interviewed on eNCA by Rofhiwa Madzena on the complexities of doing business in #Africa. In the interview I highlighted some key nuggets from my book #RumbleInTheJungleReloaded. One of the nuggets was in the area of leaders needing a #Relentless #Drive and #Determination when doing business in Africa. A casing example was in #SouthAfrica at the time the country was going through an unprecedented level of loadshedding/powercuts (also see blackout alert on the screen during my interview). Roll forward almost a year later to now and that challenge has dramatically changed for the better thanks to bold political leadership galvanised by private sector leadership as well. The country is not out of the woods yet but definitely in the right direction. For more insights watch the video below. 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 Associations across Africa are vital for professional growth, industry development, and empowering communities. However, they face unique challenges that require innovative solutions to overcome. Here are three key challenges: 1️⃣ 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡: Engaging members and showcasing tangible values can be complex for most associations, especially in diverse and dynamic markets. 2️⃣ 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬: From funding to staffing, many associations lack the resources needed to achieve their missions and goals effectively. 3️⃣ 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: Balancing short-term wins with long-term goals is particularly tough during economic downturns. At 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 (𝐀𝐅𝐀𝐌𝐂𝐎), we’re dedicated to addressing these challenges by offering tailored solutions, #strategic resources, and #collaborative platforms to help associations thrive. What challenges has your association faced, and how have you successfully navigated them? Share your insights, and together, we can empower #African associations for a stronger future. #AssociationsInAfrica #Leadership #AssociationManagement #CommunityImpact

I am honoured to speak at the International House Directors’ Conference 2024, organized by the dedicated team at the International House World Organisation in Split, Croatia. Here is the big question that we will be exploring at the conference: "How can we develop transversal collaboration, trigger trust and accountability, accelerate inclusion, and mutual understanding, while finding practical solutions to day-to-day challenges?" Some Key Areas We'll Explore: ‘Transversal Collaboration’ which is about...learning to harness the power of cross-functional collaboration to break down silos and foster innovation. ‘Trust and Accountability’ which is about... experiencing how helping others and making them feel understood can accelerate the trust-building process and increase the chances of creating the grounds for accountability to flourish. ‘Inclusion and Understanding’ which is about...discovering how including divergent opinions can enrich group dynamics and lead to better problem-solving. ‘Practical Solutions’ which is about... tackling real challenges to which potential solutions are found thanks to the power of collective intelligence. The #IHDirConf2024 is not just a conference; it's a collaborative arena for educational leaders worldwide, focused on sharing insights and strategies that reshape educational practices globally. Thanks to Emma Hoyle and everyone at IHWO for orchestrating this event. Looking forward to connecting with fellow educators and leaders in Split! #LeadershipDevelopment #EducationInnovation #InternationalHouse #ExecutiveCoaching
