Dr. Nancy Chitera posed a profound question at the Breaking Barriers, Building Futures: Women Leadership in Higher Education Conference: "What are you becoming into?" As women leaders, it's essential to focus on the process of becoming - growing, learning, and evolving. Our current state will determine our future success. Understanding the process of becoming and how we position ourselves is crucial. Dr. Chitera's words resonate deeply: "Are you becoming the leader you aspire to be?" Let's embrace the journey of becoming, prioritize our growth, and intentionally position ourselves for future success. #WomenInLeadership #PersonalGrowth #Becoming

🤝🏽 We're proud to join forces with organisations like FAIR SHARE of Women Leaders, which are modelling feminist leadership and taking concrete steps to build a world where all women leaders thrive. With FAIR SHARE of Women Leaders and One Future Collective, Wedu are hosting a virtual #NGOCSW68 event on 'Building a Feminist Leadership Movement on 19 March at 4:30-6:00 p.m. ICT | 9:30-11 a.m UTC. 🔗 Register for this event now at https://lnkd.in/dt9nPWVA FAIR SHARE aims to test and showcase new forms of governance that reflect feminist values and principles. It has developed resources, like the feministleadershiphub.com, a collaboration with One Future Collective. Juliana, Wedu's Community Engagement Coordinator, is among the Hub's Steering Committee members. FAIR SHARE engages with women leaders and allies in two complementary ways. Firstly, its data-based tool FAIR SHARE Monitor (https://lnkd.in/gaAykQfd) annually tracks women leaders' representation in the international social impact sector. The Monitor aims to hold the industry accountable for gender equity by ranking organisations based on the gap between women on staff and women in leadership. The team is working to make the Monitor more intersectional and potentially include qualitative data to incorporate and reflect the lived experiences of women leaders. Secondly, the organisation supports leaders and allies of all genders in engaging with feminist leadership. It has created publications, podcasts, and webinars to encourage individuals and organisations to apply feminist principles and approaches to their work. Mina Jaf, the founder of Women Refugee Route, credits FAIR SHARE for inspiring her. She says, "FAIR SHARE inspired me to go ahead with my project that will be based on feminist governance: one that doesn't replicate the patriarchal structure that has existed for too long. But one that is fair and just for all." 📢 Join the feminist leadership movement and learn more about fairsharewl.org's learnings and strategies for strengthening the #feministleadership movements at our #NGOCSW68 event. Celebrate Women Leaders This 4th of July! This Independence Day, let's remember the remarkable women who fueled the American Revolution. From Abigail Adams' strategic communication to Harriet Tubman's courageous leadership, their contributions were vital. Today, these same principles inspire female leaders across industries, especially in mediation. Their strong communication and empathy bridge divides and pave the way for a more just future. ️ They're the modern-day peacemakers, building bridges, not walls. Here's how you can join the conversation: 1. Share your thoughts on empowering women leaders. 2. Tell us about inspiring women in history or your network. 3. Learn more about the Power of Female Mediators by following this link >> https://lnkd.in/gtQ4jvJT Let's celebrate the incredible women shaping a brighter tomorrow! #WomenLeaders #4thOfJuly #Equality

🤦♀️ OOPS! OH NO...! We've been caught out by the clocks changing in the US. Please note that we go live with this webinar @ 12 pm EST (NOT 11 am) / 4pm GMT on March 25th. 👉 Join us for a courageous conversation that addresses this critical issue head-on. In recent years DE&I initiatives have faced some resistance from those who feel that such programs may be too narrowly focused, failing to build the inclusion they were designed to create. 👏 Celebrating #womenshistorymonth is a timely opportunity for organizations to evaluate their progress toward advancing DE&I, particularly in helping women succeed at work. During this reflection, leaders must also consider how they have addressed resistance to women being promoted into leadership roles. 💺 Register here to book your place : https://lnkd.in/e-sccdpa #dei #diversityequityandinclusion
