Important consultation piece on the future of the Cape York Peninsula NRM Regions Queensland

Great news for Bay Area communities! The San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) announced that the Regional Shoreline Adaptation Plan (RSAP) has been adopted! 🎉 The RSAP will guide the creation of coordinated, locally-planned sea level rise adaptation actions that work together to meet regional goals. After two years of stakeholder engagement, community workshops, and public comments, BCDC adopted the RSAP as required by SB 272. Coastal Quest is thrilled for this pivotal milestone in BCDC’s history that will help pave the way for how cities and practitioners can coordinate efforts and take action for a more resilient shoreline. Now’s the time for communities across the Bay to make progress. Local jurisdictions within BCDC's shoreline will have until January 2034 to complete Subregional Plans according to the Guidelines in the RSAP. We are doing this for a reason: to welcome anyone who wants to take conservation action and make a tangible impact on Minnesota's outdoors. * Instead of tickets priced at over $100 a piece, we are selling them for $40 a person. * Instead of a fancy, seated affair, we are throwing a casual bash where you don't need to buy a new cocktail dress (unless you want to!). * Instead of exclusive, we want to be inclusive. * We'll continue to be informative! From clean water to pollinators, continuous living cover to tree canopies, volunteer events to goats: we'll share what Great River Greening is doing to make an immediate and positive impact on Minnesota's land, for the benefit of people, plants, wildlife, soil and water. Each hectare can provide a community with significant economic benefits — but restoration projects are often stymied by insecure land tenure for the farmers, fishers, and other villagers who call the land home.
