🌟 “Building Happy Spaces Starts with Building a Happier You” 🌟 Malavika R Harita, a educator, entrepreneur, and mentor, graced the stage at the WiREnet Annual Event 2024, delivering an inspiring and candid talk about the essence of happiness. In her speech, Malvika emphasized a powerful message: true happiness comes from within. As a mentor, she shared personal insights on how to cultivate a more fulfilled and balanced life — both professionally and personally. Drawing from her 66 years of experience, she touched on the importance of steady growth in one’s career, the value of knowledge, and the profound impact of meaningful relationships. One of the key takeaways? You can’t create a happy space for others if you’re not truly happy yourself. From the need to embrace life’s ups and downs to learning the art of saying ‘no’ and finding a passion that sustains you — Malvika’s wisdom is a beacon for all striving for happiness in today’s fast-paced, often challenging world. Her speech is a reminder to not only work towards creating happy spaces but to also focus on building a happier, healthier version of you first. 💡 Curious to hear more? ✨ Do Work You Love Breakfast: Celebrating 8 Years! ✨ 8 years ago, on October 10th 2016, I hosted the very first Do Work You Love Breakfast. Every time, I love it more—bringing together like-minded people who share a passion for what they do. We meet, exchange ideas, discover synergies, do business together, and even refer jobs. It's a space where we give and receive advice on current topics, trends, and tools to help us navigate our work lives. Here are my 3 reasons for starting this event series back in 2016: 🫶 The Power of Masterminds For years, I met with mastermind groups, often in the morning, and after each meeting, I felt inspired, resourceful, energized, creative ... well, like I could rule the world. I wanted more people to experience that energy and empowerment. 🫶 Connecting with Inspiring People I’ve always been fortunate to know exciting, inspiring people, but finding time to meet 1:1 with everyone is a challenge. These breakfasts allow me to meet them in groups, making meaningful connections easier. 🫶 Structured Networking I’ve always loved recommending relevant people, products, businesses, and projects. This event allows me to do it in a structured way, with group sizes of 12-20—just perfect for fostering real conversations and connections. Today’s breakfast was no different. We had participants from diverse backgrounds: startup advisors, marketing, real estate, hospitality, products for children, education, founders, fashion, product managers, co-working space owners, engineers, deep tech journalists ... and more! 🙌 Thanks to all who joined! What an honor to participate and present at RevelEleven Events + Retreats She's The Boss Series: Life Your Way event last week in sponsorship with Ellevate Network along with Colleen Echohawk, Kari Gran, Caitlin Braam, ✧ Dr. Adeola Mead and Sura Kim. I presented to a full room, eighty magnificent ladies, about what it means to LIVE LIFE YOUR WAY. I shared how I had began living life my way since age 19 and what I believe is needed to achieve a life their way. What is often in our way-- is OURSELVES. Some helpful questions to start creating a life your way: 1. Do you know your core values, what makes you come alive, invigorates and fuels you? 2. Do you self-prioritize? 3. Do you have the self confidence to take chances, step into the unknown, move through obstacles? 4. Do you maintain healthy boundaries in your life and relationships? 5. Do you seize opportunities that present themselves? 6. Do you have supporters, people who believe in, encourage and celebrate your journey? 7. Do you have unhealed (childhood/life) wounds and traumas that are holding you back, in your way, keeping you stuck? 8. Do you believe you DESERVE to live life your way and DESERVE to take the steps forward to achieve it? THE RELATIONSHIP WE HAVE WITH OURSELVES IS A 'BIG PREDICTOR' OF THE LIFE WE CREATE. What is the health of your relationship with YOU? Are you currently living life your way? If not, what's holding you back?
Wow, what a night. RevelEleven Events + Retreats -- She's the Boss: Life Your Way drew an amazing crowd of 80 women this week at the National Nordic Museum. The conversation centered around making your life your own -- whether you are embracing career, relationships or second chapters with no apologies, no expectations and setting your own course. Over the years, RevelEleven has evolved—but our ethos has remained the same: We are dreamers and doers. Connectors and collaborators. Trailblazers and teachers. We believe the best way to achieve individual growth…is to do it together. By championing and challenging each other, we can go further, get there faster and make the journey more rewarding and fun. RevelEleven will help you discover what matters most, chart your course and create the life you want—Life Your Way. RevelEleven is a combination of online, in-person events, retreats and international globetrotting, including hiking excursions and a food, wine + culture events (featuring women-owned businesses). Many thanks to our fabulous speakers: Colleen Echohawk, Kari Gran, Caitlin Braam, ✧ Dr. Adeola Mead, Heidi B. Carlson and Sura Kim for sharing your time, stories and wisdom with our audience. Sharing our stories and experiences are the golden thread of connection and inspiration. Also, I appreciate our other partners and pop-ups for the evening: Ellevate Pacific Northwest Community, Yonder Cider, Armoire, Vermouth Beauty and Point of view label. Thanks to our R11 team and advisory board members that attended: Ruth Winbauer, Kendra Smith, Jane Boulware, Joelle Williams, Janet Stephenson, Kelsey Aanerud, Rachel Hart Rios. And to: Alison Scott and Lia Seth, PHR. #womensupportingwomen #womenempoweringwomen #womenleaders #lifeyourway #shestheboss #Seattle #PNW #seattlewomen

This early milestone is a testament to our shared commitment to personal growth, resilience, and well-being. The difference between you and your next level isn't found in a copy-and-paste strategy—it's in your ability to embrace your unique self 🔥 🔥 🔥 A beautiful conversation with Jessica Adams about the power of collaboration over competition sparked the idea for our day retreat. We kept hearing the same concerns from so many female founders: "I don’t know how to stand out." "There’s so much competition." "Others in my field offer similar services." Let’s set the record straight: there might be others with similar skills or qualifications, but there is no one else like YOU 💥 You are the superpower in your business. When you truly harness your unique essence and infuse it into everything you do, that’s when you truly stand out. Your people can’t find you if you’re hiding behind someone else’s strategy, its time to change that! Are you ready to dedicate a day to diving deep into your business, embracing your uniqueness, and creating a ripple effect of success for 2025? Join us for Embrace Your Uniqueness Day Retreat 📍 A transformative day retreat in the stunning Mendip Hills near Bristol 📅 January 23rd 2025 Doors close at the end of this week and spaces are filling fast! Creating a welcoming and inviting environment in your home creates deeper connections with friends and loved ones. When you open your doors to others and create a space where people feel comfortable and relaxed, meaningful interactions happen and relationships become much tighter. Sharing meals, hosting gatherings, or providing a space where people can unwind and socialize can goes a long way in building deeper connections. These moments of togetherness allow people to bond, share experiences, and create lasting memories. Be intentional about creating an atmosphere that promotes warmth, comfort, and hospitality. You not only enrich your own life but also create opportunities for others to feel valued and connected. Nurturing a sense of community and belonging through your physical home will extend beyond the four walls you live in. #CapitolCreatorsAndChampions #WashingtonDC #NetworkingEvents #Tech #RealEstate #Consulting #PrivateEquity #VentureCapital
