Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting over 35 advisors at our Scottsdale, AZ headquarters for an insightful #DueDiligence event. Together, we dove deep into Walton's business lines, shared updates on our product offerings, and enjoyed valuable networking at a dinner and cocktail hour. We were also happy to welcome a guest speaker from John Burns Research and Consulting to provide industry insights and perspectives, adding value to the experience for everyone involved. Thank you to all of our attendees, speakers, and presenters for making this event a success! Your engagement and expertise drive us forward, and we’re looking forward to many more events like this in the future. #WaltonGlobal #Networking #IndustryInsights

The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any. Every time I have the opportunity to speak, I’m reminded that words have power, and that empowering others can spark change in ways we might not even realize. I see this especially at events like The NACE Experience Conference for Catering and Events, where people come together to connect, learn, and grow. It’s inspiring to be part of a space that helps others push their businesses forward. Speaking at these events is about everyone in the room and what we can accomplish together. That’s why I love doing this —it’s an exchange, a moment to pour into others and create a ripple effect of enlightenment and encouragement. Speaking is a chance for me to give, to pour into others, and to leave the industry a little brighter than it was before. Last night, I joined an amazing group of leaders for a Pavilion Happy Hour in #Atlanta at Scofflaw Brewing Co. and as I have been going to more and more of these events to meet folks and connect, there is one thing that I keep thinking: Smaller events are better. When I go to an event and there are 20 or so people there, I know I will actually get to meet nearly everyone and get to know them. These events are usually more meaningful, especially at creating quality connections. When it's an event with 100 people, that is obviously more challenging. What's interesting is that - from an event planning and marketing perspective - the goal is almost always "get as many people in the room as possible." Of course, from a budgeting perspective, this makes sense. You want to create the most at-bats you can. But maybe it's not the best customer experience. And maybe more at-bats could and would be created from smaller, more intimate events. While we know this is the case when organizations create intimate dinners for networking executives, many events are panel or speaker focused, and all about the numbers in the room. But if you really want to create quality, meaningful connections and community, smaller is often a better experience. #eventmarketing
