Hard to find the words to explain what this means to me: Green Gooding is a finalist for the #TheReusies by Upstream, the equivalent of the Oscars for Circularity in the US. We often hear that you need to follow your passion, focus on what drives you. Even after having been an aid worker for years, truth is that life had other (good) plans for me, and that other priorities took precedent. When you are in your 40s, with a lovely family to support, an interesting and busy full time job, an ok bank account, and live in a tiny NYC apartment, it does not seem to be the right time to launch a company that redefines the way we buy and use small appliances. But guess what, I went for it against (mostly) all advice, but with the support from many including Thomas Viguier, Valeria Servranckx, MA, MPA, Nicole Restani Kolbeck, Larasati Vitoux, Alexis Milcent, Luke Mairo, Kenny Arnold, Patrick Whittaker, Samuel Gozlan, Veena Jayadeva, MA, MBA, Mike Hower, Celine Pasteur and many more. Two years later our on demand small appliance rental system is a finalist for the Reusies among hundreds of companies in the US.
