Power of Reflection ============= Years ago, at IIMA, one of our profs had an interesting way to "evaluate" us- asking us to write Reflective Notes. Essentially he didn't want to 'evaluate' but since the institute required it, he devised a way for us to reflect and hence learn more. The 3 reflective notes I wrote then played a significant role in shaping my own thought processes. For those of us who engage volunteers in our work, getting the volunteers to REFLECT on the experience (both in terms of what they FEEL, but also what they THINK) is critical to internalise learnings and behavioural change, and convert volun-tourists to sustained and committed volunteers.
