Since discovering thrifting in 2016, 'secondhand first' has been my personal fashion mantra—yet I’m mindful of the bigger picture. Secondhand is crucial to circular fashion, but it alone can’t offset the massive volumes produced each year. High production rates and declining garment quality make it harder to keep items in resale—a topic I discussed recently in a CircKit video.
