You know that feeling when your pixel-perfect designs don't quite hit the mark with leadership? I've been there too. Over the years, I've found a few approaches that really help bridge that gap: - Thinking at different altitudes (from 30,000 ft views to ground-level details) - Using the IMPACT model to connect intent to execution - Applying the SCOPE spectrum in your daily decisions I break these down in the latest UX Mentor Diaries issue. Along with stories from designers who've made the leap. Give it a read if you're curious and want to expand business impact of your UX work (link to the full article in the comments). We're all in this together 🙏 #uxgrowth #strategicvstacticalUX --- ✍️ What's your take? ♻️ Share if it's helpful. 👋 Follow Marina Krutchinsky for more content like this

Prove there’s demand before scaling up. But… Here’s where many go wrong👇 ❌ 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 Assume you know what users want? Lately,I've realized that... If the foundation of your UX is not strong and well detailed, you will have lots of challenge as a designer. Iterations are normal...but if this is not properly fixed by you or "Oga"...there will be so much back and forth. I was having a chat with my teamates today on a group call and I remembered telling everyone the need to revisit our UX.... something seems to be off! That was the basis for the almost two hours of call three of us had today Khafilat Akinpelu Progress Orishade and myself... Funnily, before the end of the call...we realized some things we neglected due to time constraints...we discovered how pivotal they are to our design process and we are iterating accordingly(still ongoing) Now,this is my concern...I'm aware that most startups want to jump "the gun" and rush to the design part without a detailed UX process (due to funds or possibly time factor). But it got me thinking on how we churn out products without detailed UX...the one we jokingly call "Oga centered design"! I know we want to make money and all...but, ain't we leaving out fundamentals from our products?... I was working on a card sort and other UX processes today, and at the same time wondering how many products go through this thorough research methods... Or perhaps it's just an overthinking and nothing deep...do you think it is deep? 📸 Snapshot of an ongoing UX research work. #randommusings #uxdesigner #Womenintech #uxresearch.

Bringing Life to Design with Personas In the world of UX design, personas stand as indispensable tools that shape and elevate the user experience through understanding and empathy. Let's delve into why they are crucial and how to effectively harness their potential. • Complexity Reduction: By distilling the diverse characteristics of real users into archetypes, personas make the design process more manageable and directed, offering a clear outline of who the design is meant to serve. • Empathy Building: Personas allow designers to step into the shoes of their users, fostering a deeper connection and understanding with the target audience, ultimately leading to more intuitive and impactful design solutions. • Guiding Ideation: As a repository of user needs, behaviors, and motivations, personas inform the design team's ideation processes, ensuring that brainstorming sessions and prototypes are deeply rooted in genuine user insights. • Effective Communication: Serving as a shared reference point, personas enhance communication among designers, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring alignment in design decisions and strategies. How have personas influenced your design process or project outcomes? Share your experiences and insights. #UXDesign #UserExperience #PersonaDevelopment

When it comes to creating digital products, it’s easy to assume we have all the answers. But here’s a thought: some of the most innovative solutions come from a simple shift in mindset. As designers, managers, and owners, we often view products through our own lens, shaped by our experiences and contexts, which can differ significantly from our users' perspectives. This is where user feedback becomes essential—it’s a game changer that can elevate design process and lead to remarkable results. But let’s be clear: feedback isn’t just a checkbox to tick off during user testing. It’s a dynamic conversation. Instead of waiting until the end, businesses should integrate feedback and testing at every stage of development. The real magic happens when we transition from “designing for users” to “designing with users.” This collaborative approach not only enhances product but also deepens our understanding of users' needs. In the end, it’s not just about what we create; it’s about how we grow and evolve alongside the people we serve. #UserExperience #DigitalProducts #Innovation #ProductDevelopment #UXDesign #ProductDesign #UserResearch #UXDesigner
