The Holidays are upon us, and many workplaces are starting their Holiday Party Planning. They are decorating, planning Secret Santa or Yankee Swap events, thinking about festive foods and otherwise getting into the Holiday Spirit. But what about your Team Members who don't celebrate Christmas? People like me, who celebrate Hannukah? Or Eid? Or Kwanzaa? Or the many other Festivals which occur between American Thanksgiving and the middle of January? Or the Team Members who observe Christmas, but don't celebrate it in the same way? Are your Holiday Festivities inclusive of their way of Observance and/or Celebration? Or is your company leaning heavily into the Christian or Secular Christmas Celebrations? This is a great opportunity for everyone to learn about other Holidays, and their traditions. Inclusion is growth and making your Team stronger. Happy Holidays to those who celebrate, and respect to those who observe their Holidays.
