Excellent suggestions, Dina! Holiday parties, and even networking events, can be so hard to navigate - these are incredibly practical and helpful tips! I would add the acronym F.R.I.E.N.D.S to slide 6 - it's my go-to for conversation starters/topics! If you've been stuck near me at an event, you've likely heard me work my way through these!! F un (what do you do for fun? anything exciting ahead?) R elationships (ask about their partner, kids, parents, etc.) I nterests (any fun hobbies you've gotten into recently?) E ducation (where did you go to school?) N eighborhood (what part of town do you live/work in?) D og (well, pets 😆 Do you have any pets, plans to get one?) S ports (did you see that game over the weekend? Or use this to represent any pop-culture reference)
