Understanding the diversity of artistic talent is crucial for any employer seeking 3D artists. When hiring, please don't dismiss applications based solely on their portfolio's alignment with your preferred style, consider the potential for growth and adaptation because we artists may surprise you (and ourselves sometimes to be honest)! As some may only be skilled working in one set style, others may enjoy the challenge of trying something new. This is an important question to go over during interviews. I have worked in many art styles, however I haven't worked in them all over my 7 years of experience. One challenge I sometimes come across are applications being declined quickly as I may not be what their looking for in terms of style. Unfortunately this can be demotivating for the artist. Encouraging artists to expand their skill set by offering them the opportunity to try something new not only broadens an artist's skill set but also fosters creativity and innovation. I enjoy being taken a little out of my comfort zone with each commission and challenged to work in an art style I may not have tackled or tackled fully before. Not only does it allow me to expand my skills but it's also fun watching things come together. With this said, I'm really excited for a meeting I have on Monday for the next commission I'll be taking on. Unable to contain my excitement, I've gone ahead and began creating a small demo to present during the meeting. This isn't a requirement however, I'm just too excited. It's coming together so well, I'm in love with it! I actually can't wait for Monday to get here now! 😅 To those who have been giving me the opportunity to expand my creative skills over the years and bring life to your games, thank you! No words can express how grateful I am! My skills have come such a long way from when I first began in 2017 because of you guys! 🤗

Fellow artists, probably more for those with slightly different day jobs, what motivates you to work on personal projects after a long day or week at work? What fuels, guides you, or keeps you going when all you want to do is sit back and do nothing at the end of the day? #artists #gameart #motivation #3dart #professionalartist
