How Technology Integration Is Transforming Mixed-Use Properties The integration of technology in mixed-use properties is transforming the commercial real estate landscape. With the rise of AI and automation, property owners are increasingly motivated to adopt these advancements. However, effective implementation remains a challenge as owners strive to determine the most beneficial technologies for their properties and tenants. Key Points 1. Enhanced Tenant Experience: Smart technologies like facial recognition, biometrics, and automated building features create a frictionless environment, improving user experiences throughout the property. 2. Streamlined Property Management: Automation and machine learning streamline back-office functions, reducing administrative burdens on property managers and allowing them to focus on enhancing tenant experiences. 3. Effective Communication: Building apps improves tenant communication, promotes events, and gathers engagement data to inform future programming, fostering a sense of community. 4. Data-Driven Insights: Smart technologies collect valuable data on user behaviors, which can be used to enhance retail experiences and develop targeted marketing strategies for tenants. 5. Strategic Adoption of Technology: Successful integration of technology requires a solutions-oriented approach focused on user experience, functionality, and monetization, ensuring property owners maximize their investments. As technology reshapes mixed-use properties, owners need a strategic implementation approach. By focusing on tenant experiences, operational efficiency, and data insights, they can create value and enhance the real estate experience, benefiting both tenants and investors Source: (Forbes Real Estate) . . . #premiumpropertytrust #birminghamalabama #bhamal #realestateinvesting #realestate #architecture #pptreit #realestateinvestment #realestateinvestmenttrust #buildinggenerationalwealth #mixedused #newurbanism #generationalwealth #investing #reit #ppt #verticalintegration #premiumbydesign

Sometimes the most effective solution isn't always the most technically impressive one. It's the one that actually solves what people need though. Before we rush to implement the latest tech, trend or out-of-the-box enterprise thing, perhaps we should spend more time understanding the humans who'll be using it. What keeps them up at night? What small frustrations make their day harder? What would genuinely make their lives better? What does any of that look like for people inside your organisation to manage and scale? Get that right first, then pick your tools. The tech should serve the human need, not the other way round. If you're interested in learning more about how you can better map your products, services and organisational processes, I'll be (finally) discussing the benefits of Mapping & Blueprinting online, 10-11am on Wednesday 27th November. Looking forward to seeing you there! https://lnkd.in/eCq59NrW #CustomerExperience #ServiceDesign #DigitalTransformation

In the fast-paced world of technology, it’s easy to fall into the trap of making assumptions about what users want or need. However, the most successful products are those that prioritize user experience above all else. By putting users at the heart of every design decision, we can eliminate guesswork and create solutions that truly resonate. Here’s why this approach is vital: Empathy Over Assumption: Understanding users’ pain points and motivations allows us to design with intention, ensuring our solutions address real needs. Iterative Feedback: Engaging users throughout the design process leads to continuous improvement. Their insights can guide us to refine our ideas and make informed decisions. Enhanced Engagement: When users feel valued and understood, their connection to our product deepens. This results in higher satisfaction and loyalty. Informed Innovation: By leveraging user feedback, we can uncover opportunities for innovation that we might have otherwise overlooked. In the ever-evolving tech landscape, staying user-focused is more crucial than ever. With rapid advancements, it’s essential to continuously adapt our designs to meet changing user needs and expectations. Let’s commit to designing with empathy and understanding. The best outcomes come from collaborative efforts where users are not just participants, but the guiding force of our creative journey.

💭 I've always believed that technology has the power to transform industries, and real estate is no exception. In fact, I'm convinced that the future of real estate is being shaped by tech innovations happening right now. Here's how I see these advancements revolutionizing the way we serve clients: 〰 #Virtualtours going mainstream: Forget static photos – buyers will demand immersive, interactive tours from the comfort of their homes. 〰 #AI becoming your personal assistant: Imagine algorithms that not only find properties but anticipate clients' needs and preferences. 〰 #Smartcontracts simplifying everything: We'll ditch the paperwork and streamline transactions with secure, blockchain-based agreements. 〰#Datadriven insights shaping strategy: It's not just about gut feelings anymore; we'll use hard data to refine pricing, marketing, and more. 〰#CRM as the backbone of client relationships: It's time to ditch the spreadsheets and embrace tools that help us nurture connections and build loyalty. If you're a real estate pro, now is the time to embrace these tech innovations. They're not just buzzwords – they're the tools that will differentiate you, streamline your operations, and ultimately deliver an unparalleled client experience. #realestate #technology #innovation #proptech #futureofrealestate

It takes about 1-3 year to plan a physical building before the first brick is laid. Yet, in the tech world, there's a myth that digital products can leap from concept to development overnight. Okay, I get it. Building stuff in the digital world isn't the same as in the physical one. But, trust me, all those simple-looking apps we can't live without? They didn't just pop up out of nowhere. The simpler they are to use, the more time and brainpower probably went into making them that way. Somehow when it comes to building any digital products, companies often underestimate this step. I am all for moving fast and getting started asap, but planning & brainstorming is often the step that not only will make your future product better, but actually allow you to plan resources better and in the end save more money. So by going slower you actually will end up going faster and achieving more in the end. PS The National Museum of Qatar on the photo, which was designed by the legendary Jean Nouvel. Just imagine how much time it took him & the team to even come up with this super creative & complex architecture. 🇶🇦 #tech #innovation #digitialproducts #ai #saas #saasproduct #development

What happens when designers can’t talk to users? I once worked on a “secret” project - a complex innovation in a niche sector for expert users, but we could not talk to them. We knew the problem we were trying to solve, but we couldn’t be sure if our ideas addressed the issue. Here’s what we did: ▶ Tested with internal employees who had domain expertise, serving as proxy users. ▶ Conducted in-depth research into the domain market to understand industry trends and user needs. ▶ Examined complementary tools that users relied on for related tasks to gather additional insights. ▶ Tested workflows for usability with non-domain participants to identify potential improvements. While these methods provided decent insights, they lacked the depth of feedback we would have received from real users. For instance, we developed a community feature that allowed users to share insights. However, it didn’t align with their working context and ended up being too complex. After months of effort, the feature was scrapped. Despite that, the tool being a first of its kind has enjoyed relative success within its niche. What are your go-to methods for bringing user perspectives into the process when direct access to users isn’t possible?

The internet is beautiful because it can connect you with kindred spirits you have never even met, like Hend Ezzeddine, Ph.D. "The journey to successful adoption is complex and multifaceted. It transcends beyond the traditional realms of effective change management and well-designed UX/UI. True adoption hinges on understanding and designing for the ‘Job-to-be-Done’, nurturing a conducive adoption ecosystem within organizational structures and cultures, and recognizing the pivotal role of human interaction with technology." 🤩 This article beautifully summarizes what I have been attempting to say: User Adoption Design is THE critical discipline for this new era of business upon which we are all embarking.
USER ADOPTION DESIGN IS THE NEW DISCIPLINE YOU NEED

A few things designers might reflect on over the holiday break. • Inclusive Design How can you ensure your designs are more accessible and inclusive? Think about ways to embrace diverse user needs and perspectives in 2025. • AI & Automation AI is reshaping design tools and workflows. How can you use AI to enhance (not replace) your creativity? • Sustainability Consider the environmental impact of your design choices. Can you find ways to reduce digital waste or make more sustainable design decisions? Perhaps 2025 should be a year of thoughtful, responsible design. What else are you reflecting on for the year ahead? #design
