For a long time I had known that I wanted a super successful career, but never said it out loud. I wanted the achievement, fulfillment, success, and impact. But I was ashamed and afraid to be judged. I assumed that when people saw me, “pushing myself” in my career, health, motherhood etc. they would say: “Why can’t you just be grateful for what you have?” Years later, I know this isn’t true. Because you CAN be grateful for what you have AND want more. This is actually the best place to be. We do everyone a disservice by playing small and not admitting when we want more. Because when you create an exceptional life, everyone benefits. You feel fulfilled, you are vibrant, your family benefits, and the world benefits from you expressing your talents. If you’ve known that you want more, and you are ready to do something about it, join me for the Have It All Webinar (Sept 17 @ 2PM EST) where I will teach you four steps to creating your Have It All Life, the life where you have the career success and home life you really want. 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵. This Thanksgiving, I’m reflecting on one of the biggest 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 I ever made—stepping into 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. At the time, I was juggling multiple opportunities but felt stuck and scattered. Then I sat down and asked myself: - What do I truly want to build? - Does this align with my values and vision? - Will this move me closer to the impact I want to make? The decision wasn’t easy, but I’m grateful every day that I made it. It gave me more 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀, 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, and 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 than I’d ever felt before. It’s this 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 and 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 that I’m most 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗳𝘂𝗹 for as I serve my clients, build communities like 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀, and help others step into their best selves. This week, take a moment to reflect: - What decisions are you grateful for this year? - Where can you make your next Power Move? If you’re ready to 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 and 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 in your decisions, let’s connect. I’d love to help you on your journey.

We often think the last step in the process is just the next step. Today is Thanksgiving in the US. We're going to hear "Just be thankful" a lot. However, many families know they will sit down to a meal, only to face heated discussions about politics, the economy, the job market, or the planet itself. When those opinions clash with your own, it can feel like nails on a chalkboard. How do you go from that tension to actual thankfulness? For me, I start with curiosity. I listen. Not to agree, but to understand. What are they really saying? Why do they believe it? When I’ve done that, one of two things happens: 1 - I learn something that shifts my perspective. Or, 2 - I realize, thank God I don’t think that way. Either way, I’ve gained something. Sometimes, the gift is confirmation of how grateful you are for your own beliefs. And that? That’s something to be thankful for... How we use our circumstances matters more than the circumstances themselves. What are you really thankful for today? #GenZ #mentor #careers #careerdevelopment #careergrowth #business ------------ ❓ Do you have a family member about to start their career? 📞Let them know I give away free 30-minute career mentorship calls. 🗓️ Book a call in my bio, ask my any thing, there are no stupid questions.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving this week, I’ve been reflecting on the unexpected twists and turns of my career—and how truly grateful I am for the journey. Every opportunity, challenge, and pivot has played a role in shaping who I am today and helping me discover my true passions. One career shift, in particular, stands out as transformative—not just professionally, but personally. It’s a job I’ll always be thankful for, as it gave me not only invaluable skills but also lifelong friendships that feel like a second family. I began my career as a Correctional Officer, working in an environment that demanded resilience, empathy, and adaptability every single day. It was a role that built my character and taught me important lessons about leadership, collaboration, and the value of structure. But life had other plans for me. Transitioning into software wasn’t something I could have imagined back then—it was a leap of faith inspired by curiosity and the desire to create systems that empower rather than confine. My first projects in tech weren’t without challenges (and some outright failed), but they became stepping stones toward the career I’m so thankful for today. Looking back, I see how much my early experiences prepared me for success in an entirely different field. The ability to solve problems under pressure, build trust, and stay calm in chaos—skills I honed in corrections—turned out to be some of my greatest assets in the world of software and client service. This Thanksgiving, I’m especially grateful for: 🍁 The lessons learned from every challenge along the way. 🍁 The mentors and colleagues who believed in me when I needed it most. 🍁 The resilience and adaptability shaped by my earliest roles. 🍁 The opportunity to create meaningful solutions that drive positive change. To anyone considering a leap into something new: Your past experiences are more valuable than you might think. Be thankful for where you’ve been—it might just be preparing you for what’s ahead. What career change has shaped your journey? I’d love to hear your story. #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #CareerChange #Resilience #TransferableSkills

This Thanksgiving, gratitude takes on a deeper meaning as I reflect on having meaningful work to engage in each day. Yet my heart goes out to the many accomplished professionals navigating career transitions in today's dynamic economy – whether due to technological shifts, organizational changes, or market evolution. To those facing well-intentioned but challenging holiday conversations about their job search: Remember that your worth isn't defined by your employment status. Every informational call that opens a new door, every skill you're developing, every connection you're nurturing – these are victories worth celebrating. Your family and friends are in your corner, and sharing both your challenges and progress with them can be surprisingly energizing. Let's view this season as a chance to recalibrate and reconnect with our inherent potential. While the path forward may have unexpected turns, each step – even the difficult ones – shapes your unique professional story. Here's to finding moments of genuine connection and renewal this Thanksgiving. The resilience you're showing today is preparing you for tomorrow's opportunities. 🍁

It's my 9th anniversary in the online industry- I can't believe it! And I'm going to be honest and what I want to share with you.... It all started when I made the decision that I wanted more control in my life. To work more on my terms, so I could be home more with our kids. I was missing out on them, and just life in general. Everything was coming second to my career, and deep down I wanted it to be the other way around: family first, and then everything else. Venturing into something new had its challenges. Lot's to learn, since I didn't have much knowledge in this space. I'd had the highest of highs, and I've had the lowest of lows. I thought I was in the right place, and then I wasn't. I went through lots of pivots along the way with all the laughs, and tears. But it was the best decision I've made. But when you decide to step out of your comfort, you learn a lot. You learn what is important. You learn who you want to be around. You learn who you want to help make an impact with. It becomes so much more than you. What I learned was more about me, and how I wanted to impact more along the way. Making the decision to change and better myself was not easy- actually the hardest thing I have ever done. And for that, I'm beyond grateful. I'm a better person for it. If you are looking for change, and know deep down in your heart that things should be different, you are not alone. But also know there are ways that you can grow and excel. You just have to be willing to look for the opportunity doors to open. #pivot #shifting #business #entreprenuer #familyfirst #nurse #linkedin #socialmedia

Around this time last year, I was curious what everyone's word was going to be for 2024. I had done some reflection, and I chose 'Gratitude' for 2024. Little did I know at the time that when I returned from my time off around the holidays, that I would be one of many affected by that companies M&A. I would had never imagined 'Gratitude' would have stuck all the way through the year. A few things gratitude showed in 2024: - The dissolution of my role, did not take away my knowledge. - The support I found from people I knew (and ones I never met) while job hunting. - Starting at Rankings, I was given a clean slate - a chance to showcase my skills, build new relationships, and learn new skillsets. - Even through challenging moments, it allowed me to see happiness that deserve appreciation. - Even mistakes or setbacks can be reframed as lessons to become wiser, stronger, and better prepared for the future. - And so much more! By taking stock of the small and large aspects of the year, has allowed me to cultivate gratitude for both the ordinary and extraordinary parts of my life. Now to start thinking of 2025's word of the year. What is yours?!
