Around this time last year, I was curious what everyone's word was going to be for 2024. I had done some reflection, and I chose 'Gratitude' for 2024. Little did I know at the time that when I returned from my time off around the holidays, that I would be one of many affected by that companies M&A. I would had never imagined 'Gratitude' would have stuck all the way through the year. A few things gratitude showed in 2024: - The dissolution of my role, did not take away my knowledge. - The support I found from people I knew (and ones I never met) while job hunting. - Starting at Rankings, I was given a clean slate - a chance to showcase my skills, build new relationships, and learn new skillsets. - Even through challenging moments, it allowed me to see happiness that deserve appreciation. - Even mistakes or setbacks can be reframed as lessons to become wiser, stronger, and better prepared for the future. - And so much more! By taking stock of the small and large aspects of the year, has allowed me to cultivate gratitude for both the ordinary and extraordinary parts of my life. Now to start thinking of 2025's word of the year. What is yours?!

I have a lot of gratitude today. Doesn't mean things haven't been hard. Life is hard. But I'm thankful for a wife who believes in me every day, three smart and amazing kids that give me hope each day, and you - for following my content, engaging with me, and many of you entrusting me with your career brand story. If you are anything like me, you may feel like you are just barely making it through Christmas and the end of the year. So many lessons learned this year. So many of you still holding out hope for a new job in the New Year. Don't give up that hope. Hold on to that light. It's a promise that came when the world was very dark. It's a promise that is still true today. At Thanksgiving I opened 5 spots for anyone who book the Ascend would get upgraded to the 12-week coaching program. Essentially, we get the marketing (resume, LinkedIn, Your Story Pitch) done now and start 12-weeks in the New Year to help you land your dream job. I have 1 SPOT LEFT! If you want someone in your corner to start the New Year strong, I'm here. If you want it, go book the Ascend today (that's a $3,000 value for $895). Book here: https://lnkd.in/eKVEC-RT Why did I offer this? Because life is hard enough and I love helping people. Because I believe right now is the best time to get a head start in your job search for the New Year. Because I don't want you to go it alone. Be the light. Do good. Stay strong and make bold moves for the New Year. #careers #linkedin #jobsearch #networking #personalbranding

✨ Where do you want to be by September 2024? ✨ A few months ago, I asked a client the same question. She was clear on one thing: she didn’t want to stay stuck. She wanted change, but a change that worked for her and her family. We took time to gain clarity on what she really wanted. Sometimes, this takes patience, but it’s always time well spent. Once she found that clarity, we built a plan to make it happen, along with support to overcome the challenges she faced on her journey. But here’s the key: taking action. Each week, we focused on her commitments, challenges, and successes. That intentional focus and accountability helped her shift the needle. Today, she’s thriving in a new role at a new company—and loving it! 🎉 This kind of transformation is possible for you, too. With the right support to gain clarity, a solid plan, and accountability, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. So, here’s my question for you: Where do you want to be by December 2024? Will you still be feeling stuck, or will you have taken control of your career and be reaping the rewards? The choice is yours. ➡️ DM me to find out how I can help you create a fulfilling career by the end of 2024. #careercoaching #womeninstem Photo by LinkedIn Sales Solutions on Unsplash

This week marks my 27th birthday, and as I reflect on the journey so far, I wanted to share a few lessons I’ve learned along the way: 1️⃣ Stop comparing yourself to others: We all have our own paths, and success looks different for everyone. Stay focused on your own growth. 2️⃣ Start investing early: Whether it’s in your finances, relationships, or personal development, the earlier you start, the better. 3️⃣ Take those PTO days – Rest and recharge! Burnout benefits no one, and your well-being is worth it. 4️⃣ Keep learning and growing – Never stop seeking knowledge, both professionally and personally. It’s a lifelong journey. 5️⃣ Network and build relationships – People matter. Your network is your net worth, so invest in meaningful connections. 6️⃣ It’s okay not to have everything figured out – Life is full of twists and turns, and it’s all part of the adventure. Here’s to stepping into the future. I hope to have a heart full of gratitude and eyes set on possibility. I am grateful for the lessons of yesterday and I am excited for the discoveries tomorrow will bring! 🥂 #birthdayreflections #keepgrowing #staycurious #lifelessons

I was let go from my job last month. Here's what it taught me. The business world is a tough place. Things happen for reasons out of our control, and we need to be able to adapt. There have been so many emotions to work through this past month such as sadness, confusion, and anger. However, these times in our life are defining and can be our greatest teacher. So I took this head on. My biggest takeaways have been: 1. Don't force a fit Sometimes you need to recognize when things aren't lining up and adjust your approach. It’s important to understand that not every environment or role will be the right fit for you. Trying to force it can lead to frustration and burnout. Instead, seek opportunities that align more naturally with your strengths and values. 2. Align yourself with people who share your vision Not everyone is going to have the same values as you, and that's okay. However, finding and working with those who share your vision and values can make a huge difference in your professional and personal satisfaction. It creates a more cohesive and motivating work environment, fostering better collaboration and success. 3. Be able to see beyond the words Mark Twain was right when he said actions speak louder than words. People can pretend to do a lot without being serious about it. It's crucial to look at the actions and results, not just the promises and statements. This helps in identifying true commitment and integrity in others. This time off has been such a blessing. It gave me much-needed time to assess my position in this world, where I provide value, and my long-term direction. It's also given me time to reconnect with what truly matters in life — my family. The future is bright. I'm onto greener pastures and will make another post soon about what's cooking. Stay tuned... #CareerGrowth #NewBeginnings #LifeLessons #PersonalDevelopment #FutureIsBright
