I’ve seen a lot of posts already about Giving Tuesday. And it is such a powerful day—it reminds me to pause and think about the causes I care about. But if I’m being honest, I’ve never actually given on Giving Tuesday. Why? Well, there are so many deserving charities out there, it’s always felt overwhelming to choose. Plus, I’ve never been one to jump on a bandwagon just because someone says, “Today’s the day!” I like to give when it feels right—on my own timeline. But here’s the thing: I do believe in giving. There’s nothing quite like the feeling you get when you know you’ve made a difference, even in a small way. And while I might not have donated on a specific Tuesday, I’ve seen the impact of this day, as I volunteer with Restore Small Groups. It’s like Black Friday for non profits: it’s vital to finish our year strong. And I have seen first hand the healing and connection that comes from Restore’s US and international programs. So, whether you give today, next month, or in your own way, I hope you lean into that joy of giving.
