While it’s true that there is room for improvement in how the official Switzerland positions itself strategically, I want to emphasize the incredible value that organizations like Switzerland Global Enterprise (SGE) bring to startups like ours. At WebAccountPlus (Holding) AG, we are proud to share that we generated over 250 serious leads from more than 20 countries. Many visitors were initially drawn to our stand by the Swiss Cross, a global symbol of quality and trust, but it was up to us as a startup to actively engage, showcase our solutions, and build connections with decision-makers and financial institutions. SGE provided the perfect platform: a prominent pavilion location, strong organizational support, and invaluable networking opportunities. Thanks to their efforts, we had the chance to represent Switzerland with pride and connect with top-level players from around the globe. The article’s critique of Switzerland’s strategic presence is valid in some respects, but it’s equally important to highlight the dedication and hard work of teams like SGE, who make events like these possible for Swiss companies. Success at such events ultimately comes down to entrepreneurial spirit—using the platform provided to create opportunities through proactive engagement. Stockholm (Sweden) 4. Oslo (Norway) 5. Singapore The two biggest industry verticals are technology and financial services (also no surprise) and most of our followers work in large corporations with more than 10.000 people or in smaller startups. 6️⃣ 0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ Our bi-weekly newsletter reaches more than 6.000 subscribers and almost 50% open the newsletter and read articles about the many different startups, partnerships, events, and activities that are happening in the ecosystem. 3️⃣ 5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ Facebook and Instagram are not where we are the most active, but we still have a loyal crowd of 3.500 in our community. 🎤 Taking WealthTech to the stage at BCN FinTech! 🎤 Yesterday, I had a fantastic time participating in the insightful panel of @BCN FinTech: Reinventing Investment, alongside Sabrina G. CEO at Vesto and Ignasi Viladesau, CFA Chief Investment Officer at MyInvestor. It was a great opportunity to dive into the evolving WealthTech landscape, share Flanks' journey, and exchange ideas with Barcelona’s vibrant fintech community. 👉🏼 We explored how technology is (finally!) reshaping the wealth management industry, a sector that’s been slower to embrace innovation compared to other areas of finance. 👉🏼 It was also a chance to discuss the challenges entrepreneurs face when building a financial company here in Spain. From navigating long sales cycles to earning TRUST, which truly is the foundation of everything in this field. Once you’ve got it, it creates a flywheel effect that’s hard to stop! But the best part for me? Being surrounded by passionate entrepreneurs, innovators, and curious minds. Events like this aren’t just about talking business—they’re about building connections, fostering community, and pushing the industry forward together.
