This is hilarious! When birds build their nest in a high traffic area, this tends to happen! 3 reasons why birds become aggressive towards humans: Territorial Behavior- Many bird species are highly territorial, especially during mating season. If a bird perceives a threat to its territory, it might become aggressive to protect its space. Nesting- Birds can be very protective of their nests and young. If you come too close to a nest, a bird might attack or dive-bomb you to drive you away. Human Interaction- Some birds might become aggressive if they associate humans with food or if they feel threatened by human presence. This is common in urban areas where birds have become accustomed to being around people. #BirdBehavior #AggressiveBirds #TerritorialBirds #BirdNesting #avitrol #birdcontrol #pestcontrol #wildlife #birds

You may be wondering - what is the difference between wildcats and domestic cats? Wildcats (Felis silvestris) and domestic cats (Felis catus) are different species, separated by thousands of years of evolution. . 🐈 Wildcats live solitary lives at low numbers and they have evolved to live alongside local wildlife in woodland and open habitats. 🐈 Domestic cats have a wider diet and their relationship with humans has supported them to live at high populations. DWT is exploring bringing wildcats, also known as 'woodcats', back to Devon. This includes understanding what causes hybridisation (and subsequent loss of wildcat characteristics), a problem which has put wildcats in Scotland at risk of extinction. This is a starling bird. Although they are intelligent and can be a fun pet to have, they are very disruptive. Here are a few concerns about starlings: Invasive species: European Starlings are native to Europe. Introduced to the United States, they have completely taken over many native bird's habitats and food sources. They often outcompete native birds, particularly cavity-nesting species, for holes in trees or man-made structures. Starlings can aggressively evict native species such as bluebirds, woodpeckers, and swallows, leading to population declines in these native birds. They are also known to sometimes destroy eggs or young of native birds to take over the nesting site. Their feeding habits and nesting behavior can alter the composition of plant and animal communities. For example, they may consume seeds that could have grown into important native plants, or they might disturb insect populations by altering the natural behavior of the insects they consume. While among all the nature disruption, starlings are the top species to spread disease. Birds carry over 60 different diseases, and starlings are at the forefront. #Starlings #InvasiveSpecies #LocalEcosystems #NativeSpecies #avitrol #birdcontrol #pestcontrol #wildlife #birds

Article Caption: "Elephant Express: Herd Shows Gratitude with a 'Thank You' After Safe Road Crossing" Follow me@ Muhammad Ramzan ### Article: In a heartwarming display of nature's grace, a herd of elephants recently showcased their remarkable social intelligence and gratitude. The scene unfolded when a herd needed to cross a busy road. Drivers courteously stopped, allowing the majestic creatures to cross safely. In an extraordinary gesture, the last elephant paused, turning towards the halted vehicles, and raised its trunk in what appeared to be a "thank you" wave. This touching moment not only highlighted the strong bonds within the herd but also underscored the importance of human-animal coexistence. Such interactions remind us of the profound connections we share with wildlife and the need to protect their natural habitats. ### Tags: #ElephantThankYou #WildlifeWonder #AnimalBehavior #NatureGratitude #ElephantHerd #WildlifeCrossing #HumanAnimalBond #NatureLove #ElephantIntelligence #HeartwarmingMoment #ElephantAppreciation #AnimalCommunication #RespectWildlife #ConservationMatters #RoadsideWildlife #ElephantWelfare #AnimalEmpathy #ProtectNature #WildlifeEncounters #ElephantsInTheWild #AnimalSentience #WildlifeProtection #HumanKindness #NatureConnection #AnimalInteractions #Coexistence #ElephantSociety #WildlifeRespect #SaveTheElephants

Well, that is alarming!! 🚨 But we tend to act like the Doomsday Clock has a snooze button. Since 1970, mammal, bird, fish, amphibian and reptile populations have seen an alarming decrease in size of 68% on average. #Sustainability #EcoFriendly #GreenBusiness #ClimateAction #WWF

We are now well into birds nesting season!! 🐣 All bird nests, eggs and fledglings are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, meaning that carrying out works to trees, hedges or any other vegetation with active nests present is illegal. Most birds will generally nest between February and August, but obviously as we know, birds don't have access to calendars (😆) and can nest anytime, not just during this period. Things such as species, weather conditions, predator population and food availability can all impact on how early/late a bird will nest! During these months, Treetops take extra precaution when carrying out works. All trees/hedges/vegetation are inspected thoroughly and birds nesting forms are completed before any works commence on every job we attend, to ensure that no works are completed whilst active nests are present. #birdsnestingseason #birds #nests #treeworks #treesurgery #treetopsdevegetationservicesltd #northwest
